Through the night, we barely touched. Still I kept opening my eyes to even the smallest inconvenience. Cadeth had switched sides and sometimes our hands grazed against each other. Eventually I had gotten used to it and around dawn, my conscious gave in to actual sleep.
When I awoke Cadeth was loudly perusing through some drawers. He pulled out some clothes, possibly undergarments. Matching black. He then slammed the drawers close and walked toward a door to our right, in front of us. I pushed myself up, sitting in the bed, unsure of what to do now. It'd be better if I just waited here.
He opened the door and went inside. Barely a second later he came out with some formal looking clothing. A suit an old-style general might wear. All black with silver buttons and dark purple shoulder tops. He placed a blade underneath each of the shoulder tops and pressed down on the fabric until a clicking noise emitted. I pulled my covers up closer.
As Cadeth put on the suit I decided I would ask a quick question. Figure at least something out.
I spoke as clear as I could, "Cad-deth? I mean is it okay if I call you Cadeth? Baba said I should call you Alpha Stone, but I..." I couldn't get the rest of the words out. He was staring at me too much. He'd completely stopped putting his clothes on halfway in doing so. A grin slipped across his face for a moment, then he went back to dressing. His eyes now focused on getting some buttons on.
He responded curt, "You may."
"Thanks."
Cadeth finished dressing then stepped toward me. I stayed still. He sat down next to me. One of his hands combed through his midnight black hair. His lips pressed against each other for a moment. The muted pinkish red lightening from the pressure. He breathed out loudly and began to talk.
"This is our room now, put stuff where ever you wish. Do not break anything. The closet I was just in has your clothes as well. You may explore the kingdom and outside the kingdom as long as you follow your schedule, but as soon as you pass the main doors one of my guards will follow you. "
"Okay."
"Good." As soon as the final words finished he got up and headed out the door. His pace was fast and loud. I wasn't sure what he meant by schedule, but I assumed I'd figure it out soon enough. Honestly I still don't know why I'm here completely, but I knew enough to know Cadeth wanted me within a very close protective, trapping, range. My thoughts continued to contemplate my purpose until Baba's presence interrupted them. She rushed in, dropped a plate of food on the desk and then handed me a piece of paper. As she did so she gave a quick wink before scurrying away. The paper had a schedule for me to follow for the day. It was pretty blank, other than a note about a doctors appointment... as soon as I wake up.
It was then I heard a loud knock on the door.
