Each time I knocked on the door, it stung me, but I continued to knock anyways. A loudish rhythmic knock, 3 taps at a time. I know I was being persistent, but I could hear the doctor in there and I really wanted to get started on this while the embarrassment was still fresh enough to push me into it. My nerves felt even worse than before, as the memory of Cadeth against my neck was also still new enough to rest in my short term memory.

When I thought of it, and what's happened before, my body gets a slight flush to it. Providing an almost heated sensation. Just warm enough to counter the pain of the knocking. After about the fourth set of hitting against the door, the doctor finally stopped rummaging around in the room and instead yelled out to me.

"What?!!" He shoved open the door as well. Giving me a glimpse of what was inside behind his frame. He had a tint of gold on his aura at the edges of the white aura which always surrounded him. Behind him was just a small loft bed, a desk, a large case of various medical instruments, and a television. The first television I've seen here. His face was haggard looking and his one eye gave me a firm glare. I tilted my head down slightly and waved at him, hoping it would lighten his mood. Instead he grumbled loudly and asked me 'what' again.

I answered, "Might you come with me to the library Dr. Chibin?"

"Fine." He responded quickly. To my shock, but I held in any expression that could give away my feelings. The doctor skirted past me, slamming his door shut as he moved toward the hall. As soon as the door was closed, his pace slowed down significantly. At first I had sped up to meet him, but after getting almost a foot ahead of him I halted and waited for us to be at the same distance. We then walked where we needed to go, at the same pace as one climbing mount Everest. At least he agreed to come.

I held in a smile. Suddenly I felt something slam against my chest. My eyes darted down. Dr. Chibin held a flask which he continued to press against my chest after pushing it at me.

"Open this for me." He demanded.

After a second of contemplating, I retorted, "I don't think I want to." Dr. Chibin made an almost snarl like sound.

Angry, he rebutted, "You probably didn't want to wear that old style outfit either, it surely doesn't suit you, but here we are." He pressed the flask further. Stopping us. I turned to him.

"Please explain?" Dr. Chibin pulled the flask back and then pushed it onto me again.

"It focuses on your chest. You're not a flirt. Now, open my drink." My face heated up even more so than it had been earlier. My eyebrows lowered slightly. As if detecting my mood, he pulled the drink away again.

I spat out, "No Dr. Chibin. I think I won't." An annoyed sigh escaped his lips. I could tell he was holding something back, maybe a reason for this drinking, but if he drank then it would hinder him, no matter how smart he already seemed with the drink.

Suddenly he stepped in front of me. Still holding the flask, but now close to his chest.

He questioned, "I have a good reason for drinking. Trust me, without it I am more hindered than with." Read my mind again?!

"Yes." Okay, stop please, but do tell. I have yet to meet anyone with a good reason for drinking into a stupor like you seem to do.

He smiled. A small nod came next, indicating he agreed to my request. As he spoke, his words came out solemn, yet teasing.

"I'll show you, but I can't punch you, like I normally would..." One of my eyebrows raised, looking at him with slight confusion. Dr. Chibin just sighed and pulled a ring from his pocket. His other hand still holding the flask. He didn't bring the ring up, instead kept it low near his leg. The doctor looked at me, then shot his eye back down at the ring. I copied the movement and now had my head tilted toward the small metal band.

Suddenly he lifted his hand up, lightly slapping the ring against my cheek. My vision became clouded by a sharp bright yellow light.

Everything went white. Next thing I knew, I was looking down at a memory of Dr. Chibin. Yet that wasn't his name now.

No, it was Dr. Engel.
