I changed the description a little, but i don't think you'll even notice. Anywho, I kinda wanna go with with the flow make this story just a light-hearted humor/drama... Ya know? Bc the original idea I have is just... Idk, but we'll see...
"A guy and a girl can be friends, but sooner or later..."
Oh, the horror! It's exam week.
Rodney stared at himself in the mirror, as he redid his braids. He turned the faucet on, wetting his hands quickly and running them through his braids. He grabbed the rubber band and tied his hair back; a few of his braids, which were in the front, escaped the hold and dangled on the side of his face.
Horror wee—exam week or not, he still made sure to look good. Because when you look good, you feel good, you do good—wise words from the pretty boy himself.
He exited the bathroom and through on his gray turtle neck, topping his off with his Guess jean jacket. He slid back in the bathroom just to review his look once more before grabbing his backpack, phone, and keys...
Gina on the other hand could care less about her looks, who could blame her? She just doesn't have time. Track practice, class, and another class right after, then after that weight training. She has on a baggy Addias tracksuit, her hair up in a high ponytail, and said whatever to this day. Middle finger to whoever created exam week.
She met up with Denise in the liberal arts building. Denise's attire proved she just threw on the first thing she could find, tights and a hoodie.
"Thanks." Gina says, as she grabbed her banana guava smoothie from Denise. She handed her a five dollar bill. "You can keep the change." She mutters, taking a quick sip. "What class you got right now?" She asks, right before sneezing.
"Bless you. And History, but I gotta' wait for Rodney to come get this frappé." She says.
"Okay, well I'll catch up with you later—"
"Lunch?"
"Can't. I have weight training." She paused, and then sneezed. She shakes her head as she prepared for another sneeze, Denise quickly blessed her.
"So, I'll see you when I see you. Good luck on your exam!" Gina shouts to her being that she already started climbing up the stairs.
"You too!" Denise coos.
A few moments later Rodney shuffles his feet inside the the liberal arts building. He stuff his hands in his pockets and grabs a five, handing it to Denise and grabbing his frappé.
"Change?' He holds his hand out, before taking a sip of his drink.
Denise hands him the cup holder, as she stuffed her hand into her purse pulling out two dollars, handing it to him. Rodney raises his brows.
"What?' Denise narrows her eyes at him. "Oh." She kisses her teeth, before pulling out a quarter.
"Thanks sis." He says, grabbing the money from her in exchange for the cup holder. He turns around and walks out the building to go to his class.
Denise then walks up the stairs, and checks the time on her phone quickly.
9:45. Good. Fifteen minutes left until class. Being that she had to pass Kendrick's class in order to get to hers, she decided to take the long way so that by the time she got there his class would be over and she'd give him his drink and she'll have a enough time to sprint towards her class—to be on time.
