The sound of the fire alarm shook Rodney out of his sleep. He practically shot out of his bed, and skidded on the floor.
"Bro!" Rodney slid over to Kendrick. He shook him over and over. "Get up bro!"
He ran around, he grabbed his robe and slipped on his Gucci slides. "Kendrick! You don't here the fire alarm?!"
"I need my eight hours of sleep, I'm not getting up—chill!" Kendrick shouted, as Rodney yanked him out of the bed. He grumbled as he threw his blanket around his body, he shuffled his feet behind Rodney.
Everybody ran out of their rooms, quickly evacuating the building. Even Rodney picked up his pace, pushing past people to get out. He was on a don't ask, and just run policy.
Kendrick's sense were off. Maybe it's because it's two Am, but he knows somethings up. He didn't even smell smoke, so he walked slowly, shoving anybody who shoved him by accident. He stopped in the middle of the hallway to retie his durag.
He yawned, and narrowed his eyes as he wrapped the blanket tighter around his body.
He finally made it outside.
Rodney signaled for him to walk over to him. Kendrick slowly took his time to shuffle his fuzzy slippers towards Rodney.
"Nigga, what is wrong with you?"
"This shit is fraudulent." Kendrick murmured. "I didn't even smell smoke..." He paused and looked around.
It's freezing outside, and it's evident that no one was prepare for this ordeal. After waiting for awhile people started grumbling. The grumbling got louder as campus security tried to hush everybody.
"We will not be silenced!" Kendrick shouted above everybody, and a group of people shouted 'yeah' back in agreement.
Rodney laughed at Kendrick's antics.
"Sorry for the inconvenience fellas! It was a false alarm."
"Who's childish enough to pull the alarm?"
"It's two AM."
"This is lame."
People grumbled, and swore under their breath as they stomped inside the building, once more.
"For the love of—I'm tired of living on campus!" Kendrick cried out.
"Same, we should move out." Rodney suggests.
"I'm gonna assume that's two Am Rodney speaking because brotha' you're unemployed. So." Kendrick wide eyed him.
"Chill, I'm working on getting a job." He paused. "We should seriously think about it though—"
"Man! Whoever pulled that alarm, I'll shoot their kneecaps off!" Kendrick said louder than everybody grumbling.
Rodney smacked his shoulder. "Chill."
