"She's like ...so it's about 2:30 AM... And you got bitches in your dorm?" Rodney paused, as Denise and Gina gasped. "At this point I'm looking at the both of you, and I start laughing. I'm like chill out, chill... You know Gina and Denise, right? But she's not having it!"
"Well, I mean... I'd kinda flip too, because of the type of guy you come off as—you know what I'm saying?" Denise quizzes.
"Yeah." Gina echos.
Rodney shrugs. "Yeah, yeah, yeah... After that I was just like forget it. I don't want a girlfriend, that shit is overrated."
He finally ended his short story about why he chooses not to get into a relationship at this point in time. Ironically, it's 2:30 AM. And the gang, minus Kendrick are in the lounge area.
It's just one of those sleepless nights, for the three. Gina has practice in the morning, but she didn't care for the consequences. Denise is working on an essay that's due tomorrow, while listening to and interjecting stories that play into the atmosphere of the conversation.
Rodney had his textbook and notes on the table, in front of him, just incase he decided to study. But that wasn't happening anytime soon...
"You know who's kinda cute?" He began.

"Who?" Gina asked.
"Yara." He paused. "She's cool. We uh... The other day I ran into her at the carryout, she was coming from practice and we just—it was awkward though, but like the awkward that..." He trailed off, not knowing what to saying.
"The cute awkward, like where it's weird but you like it." Denise finished his sentence.
"Yeah, that." He nodded.
"So what happened?" Denise pushed her laptop aside. If it isn't clear she's a sucker for romance, even if it's not even really romance—if it hints towards it, she's all ears. "I want details."
Rodney playfully rolled his eyes. "Alright, basically..." He held his hands together. "She walked in, and I said what's up, we talked and I kinda' teased her about how she's in the carryout right after practice. Fast forward, she asked to get in front of me. We ordered our food and walked back to campus. That's it."
"I wanted emotion! That plain ass story." Denise complained. "But that's so cute, y'all walked together!" She cheesed.
Rodney eyed her weirdly.
"Shoot your shot." Gina instigated.
"Nah—"
"What?! Do it!" Denise added on.
"Why are you forcing it?" Rodney chuckled, amused at how his friends we're trying to motivate him to actually shoot his shot when he isn't even sure that he wants too.
"She clearly is interested, and so are you. Why wait?" Gina says.
"Because..."
