"PAKSHET ..." Maine said after hearing RJ's offer. But when she realized Kirby heard her curse, Maine backpedaled and apologized.
"Ay ... ano pala ... packing tape ... yun, packing tape." She said and looked at a very unconvinced RJ. He placed his mug of coffee down and stared at her.
"Pinalala mo lang eh, just watch your words next time."
"Sorry po." She responded.
"So ... are you in or are you out?" he asked her. Maine's heart started pumping against her chest and different thoughts began to run around inside her head. She started fidgeting and awkwardly adjusted her feet from side to side.
"Uh, ano po ba yung mga gagawin?" she asked him. RJ let an impatient sigh but answered her anyway.
"Fine, we'll talk after breakfast. You can ask anything you want and then I'm going to give you till lunchtime to decide. Okay?"
"Sige po." Maine answered and smiled at him. Richard nodded and looked away.
After eating breakfast, Maine helped Kirby get to the living room so he could watch his favorite morning cartoons on the television. Once the small boy was all set and comfortable, she returned to the kitchen where Richard started talking.
"To answer your question kanina ... wala masyado. You're just gonna sit there and look pretty. I will handle most of the conversations. Mag-sasalita ka lang kapag tinanong ka ni Mommy but other than that? You will stay quiet, smile smile ka lang. I just need to show my mom that I can properly manage my life and I am not alone in taking care of Kirby. You can teach him to call you Tita or Mommy for tonight. Can you do that?" he asked her.
"Ah, yun lang po ba?" Maine asked back.
"Kung meron ka pang gustong ibang gawin pagkatapos, okay lang. Game ako sa kahit anong gusto mong gawin." Richard said. He then flashed a sexy smirk and placed his hand on the table, the tip of their middle fingers touching each other. Maine instantly felt the temperature inside the room go up. She removed her hand and looked away.
"Pag-iisipan ko muna po."
"Yung ano? Yung gagawin natin pagkatapos?" Richard questioned.
"Opo .... Ay este kung papayag ako o hindi, grabe siya."
"Don't worry Maine; I will pay you extra for tonight. Treat that as a bonus." He said to her. Maine smiled and nodded at RJ.
"I'm going to give you until lunchtime to think about it, okay?"
"Okay po." She replied. RJ winked and walked away.
"Oh my God ... gusto niya akong maging girlfriend. Lord kunin niyo na po ako ..."

RJ left the mansion feeling satisfied and excited. He spent the entire morning doing as much work as he can inside the office. But when the clock ticked past 11 in the morning, he immediately pulled out his phone and called Maine.
"Ay Sir ... hello?" she asked him.
"Hi Maine, nakapag-isip ka na ba? I'll be out here in an hour ... please tell me you already have a decision." He replied.
"Sir ... wala pa po eh."
"Why?"
"Hindi pa po kasi ako nag-aalmusal. Mahirap pong gumawa ng desisyon kapag gutom."
"Oh my god ... bakit hindi kapa kumakain?" Richard asked Maine.
"Nag-linis po kasi ako tapos nagluto ng lunch. Tawag po kayo Sir ulit after one hour, may decision na po ako nun. Oh kaya Sir, kung gusto niyo ligawan niyo na ako ngayon para mamaya sasagutin ko na kayo." She said, causing Richard's heart to skip a beat.
