"Gu-Gusto mong pakasalan ang anak namin?" Maine heard her mother say.

Maine glanced at RJ and saw him staring at them as well. Although his face was almost as red as her red lipstick and his eyes looked like they haven't been shut in days, he remained steady. He just stood the holding her hand. Maine felt like all eyes were on them. She felt embarrassed but at the same time quite happy that RJ already thought about marrying her despite only being together for two months.
"Sige," her father then said and Maine's eyes widened. "Pwede mo pakasalan anak namin."
"HOMAYGAHD!!!! OY SANDALI LANG NAMAN!" Maine yelled and her relatives started laughing.
"YES!" RJ exclaimed.
"What's going on?" Kirby asked but Maine wasn't able to answer him. A few seconds later, Maine's brother and cousin appeared next to them. Although the two were drunk as well, they were doing slightly better than RJ.
"Di ba sabi ko na future bayaw kita? Tama ako, brad! Pero Pare, pahinga ka muna sa kwarto ni Meng."
"Kuya naman eh!" Maine yelled although her cheeks were blushing.
"But ... but ... okay." RJ answered and he followed the other two as they made their way slowly back in the house.
"Nakakahiya ..." Maine uttered, looking at her parents.
"Pano mo nasabe?" Cherry asked, mimicking the tone of a popular meme.
"Emeghed, kailangan ko pa talagang sebehen?" She asked back.
"Menggay, okay lang yun. Ang cute nga eh. Alam mo ba, ganyan ako nakuha ng tatay mo. Binigla niya yung mga magulang ko nun tinanong niya kung pwede ba siya magpakasal sa akin. Medyo lasing din ata siya nun eh." Her mother said before nudging her father.
"Oh edi baka kapatid ko siya, nagmana sa inyo eh." Maine said and both of her parents laughed.
"Alam mo bes, wala ka pa ring pinagbago ano? Laging pasimpleng harot pero kapag binanatan ka na nagiging ka si Maria Clara." Cherry said and Maine blushed even more.
"Emeghed ... grebe ke she heret."
"MOMMY MAINE!!! I WANT MORE POOOORK!!!" Kirby yelled and Maine's heart skipped a beat.

The sound of chickens doing cock-a-doodle-do and people chattering woke RJ up. As soon as he sat up, he felt like his head was being broken into two.
"Fuuuuucccccckkkk ..." he said in his low morning voice. He turned to his side and felt the warmth of the morning sun hit him. That was when he realized he was shirtless. RJ looked around and saw an unfamiliar room, but he knew he was still inside Maine's home as he heard her laugh outside. RJ then took a deep breath and exhaled. He then sat there and closed his eyes for a few moments.
The door then opened and so he looked. RJ saw Maine smiling at him and so he smiled back. She locked the door and sat next to him.
"Good morning." She greeted.
"Good morning, babe. Where's Kirby?" he asked.
"Nasa labas, may kausap na manok."
