"What are you doing here?" RJ asked right away. But before Kristine could even answer, Kirby already jumped out of the car and rushed towards her.

The little boy yelled before he wrapped his arms around his mother. Richard just stood there and watched the two hugged it out for a moment. Kristine's presence re-awakened RJ's resentful feelings towards her.
"Daddy, look! Mommy's here!" Kirby explained.
"I know, buddy. Let's all go inside." RJ replied and opened the gate for them. The three then went inside the house and settled in the living room.
"Hey buddy, why don't you get something in the kitchen to eat? Are you hungry? Your mom and I need to talk." Richard told Kirby. Their son nodded and ran not to the kitchen, but to his room upstairs.
"I guess he's sleepy, what a smart kid," Kristine commented.
"Yes, he is. Now, what are you doing here and what do you want?"
"My boyfriend has a business meeting sa Revort Hotel. Eh, di ba sa kabilang bayan lang yun? I decided to take a chance and see if gising pa kayo. Luckily, you guys are. RJ, I wanted to check in on Kirby, okay? Also, I would like to apologize for suddenly leaving him. I know I ruined your life." Kristine said and RJ smiled at her.
"No, you didn't. In fact, you actually made it better. Kirby's arrival gave my life some sort of meaning. He was also the reason I met Maine, and she made me a better person in a short amount of time. Your move allowed me to meet the love of my life. So I want to thank you for leaving Kirby to me." He replied half-sarcastically.
"Still, I want to apologize for what I did. I shouldn't have kept Kirby a secret. I was mad and I thought that's the best revenge."
"No, it's okay. I totally deserved it, I treated you wrong. Any woman in her right mind would do the same thing." He responded, trying to sound as calm and collected as possible.
"So you're not mad?" Kristine asked.
"I would be lying if I said I wasn't shocked and mad for quite some time. But I'm getting over it, slowly." RJ assured her.
"That's nice, thank you. The business meeting will be a week-long event, is it okay if I visit Kirby every day?"
"Sure," Richard replied. "Sure you can."

"Hah? Anong ginagawa ni Kristine diyan?" Maine asked RJ through the phone a few minutes after she woke up the next day.
"She said she wants to see Kirby. I just let her."
"Saan siya natulog?" Maine questioned him.
"Don't worry, love, umuwi siya sa hotel niya kagabi." RJ assured her and Maine breathed a sigh of relief.
"Good, buti naman."
"Are you jealous?" Richard asked and Maine felt her face blush.
"Ako? Jealous? No, hindi kaya. May tiwala ako sa'yo noh, at tsaka alam ko naman na wala ka nang nararamdaman para dun ... di ba?" Maine asked back in a curious tone.
"Wala na. As I said, don't worry. You're the only one I love, Maine." RJ assured her.
"Ih ... enebe weg ke ngeng genyen. Hele siye ..."
"Sure you're not jealous?"
"Aba, may rason ba para magselos ako?" Maine questioned him, daring RJ to prove he could be trusted.
