"Why didn't you tell me he's coming back as well?" RJ asked his mom through the phone. He then went inside his room and started pacing back and forth, he was also mentally telling himself to calm down.
"You do know that if I told you he was going to come here you will reject the idea and tell him to fuck off, right?" his mother shot back. It was no secret to the whole family that his relationship with his Dad was damaged and barely hanging on a thread.
"Well ... yeah ... but you could have at least informed me. Dad will grill me for sure and he will remind how much of a mess and disgrace I am." RJ uttered in a frustrated tone.
"RJ ... calm down, please ... maybe he changed. Sure, we're not the best parents in the world I admit that, but we're trying ... believe us ... we're trying." His mother responded. RJ clenched his fist and stopped walking.
"Then try harder." He said coldly before ending the call.
"Daddy, are you okay?" Kirby then asked him. RJ placed the phone on the night stand and turned around to face his son.
"Yes I am," RJ replied, lying to Kirby. He then bent over and pinched Kirby's cheek.
"I love you, Daddy."
"I love you too, buddy. I promise I'll be a better father than my Dad."

After cooking meals for their lunch and dinner, Maine went to the garden to take some rest. A few seconds later, she pulled her phone out of her pocket and gave her best friend a call.
"Che, kumusta jan? Kumusta sina Mama, Papa at Kuya?" she asked.
"Grabe siya ... kung makapag-tanong parang nasa ibang bansa eh nasa kabilang barangay lang naman."
"Baliw ka, hayaan mo na. At least may distance kahit papano. Okay naman sila, yung mga pamangkin mo ayun makulit pa rin ... hindi ka naman nila nami-miss pa kasi kahapon ka lang umalis. Sabi ng Mama mo may sakit daw yung boss mong pogi ah. Ano? Okay na ba? Binigyan mo na ng Kisspirin at Yakapsul?" Cherry asked, teasing her. Maine grunted and rolled her eyes away.
"Baliw ka ... hindi naman siya may sakit ... nalasing lang."
"Ay, mas hot yun. Wala ba siyang inamin o ginawa sa'yo? Alam mo na."
"Siya wala ... ako muntikan na." Maine replied and Cherry started laughing loudly.
"Gaga ka talaga ... ikaw na ... ikaw na ang dyosa ... may Ivan ka na ... may RJ ka pa."
"Tumigil ka nga ... walang Ivan at walang RJ, okay?" Maine answered and saw RJ along with Kirby walking towards her.
"Sus ... reasons ... how to be you?" Cherry asked.
"Ewan ko sa'yo. Sige na, andito na sila kelangan ko ng umalis." Maine told her friend before hanging up. She then quickly placed the phone in her pocket and smiled at her boss.
"Hello po."
"Hi, um ... Kirby and I are going to the park. I want you to come with us." RJ told her.
"Ba-bakit po?" she then asked him.
"Siguro para bantayan si Kirby? Yun naman yung trabaho mo talaga eh." RJ answered.
"Eh kayo po?"
"Anong trabaho ko? I'm the man of the house."
"Ay oo nga po pala."
"Good ... dito lang kayo magbibihis lang ako." RJ then said to her.
"Hindi pa po ba okay yan?" Maine asked him. She then pulled Kirby towards her and started fixing his hair.
