The day of the banquet has arrived and Maine woke up early so she could have all the time she needs to get ready for the party. After eating breakfast, Maine returned to her room to find something she could wear for the day.
"Pupuntahan ka ba ni RJ dito o dun na lang kayo magkikita?" her mother asked.
"Nay, pupunta po yun dito. Um, nakita niyo po ba yung blue ko na t-shirt? Yung binigay ni Cherry nung minsan?"
"Ay naku, nasa madumi pa. Bakit? akala ko ba formal yung event na yun?"
"Nay, ngayon ko lang po umaga isusuot. Tsaka mamaya pang gabi yung event, alangan namang naka-gown na ako ngayon pa lang. Kumusta naman?"
"Oo nga pala. Kumuha ka na lang jan kung ano isusuot mo. Si RJ magpapa-ayos sa'yo? Kasi wala tayong extra ngayon, Meng."
"Siya na lang daw po." Maine replied.
"Oh sige." Her mother said and the both heard the sound of a car pulling up in front of the house.
"Baka siya na yun, bilisan mo na."
"Okay po!"

"Good morning po Tito! Good morning po Tita!" RJ greeted Maine's parents as soon as he got off the car. He did the mano gesture with them as a sign of respect before asking if Maine was ready.
"Ayun, nagbibihis na. Pasok ka muna dito, Iho. Nagkape ka na ba?" Mrs. Mendoza asked.
"Opo, salamat po." He answered right away. RJ then entered the house and sat on the sofa.
"RJ, ano ba tong banquet na 'to?" Maine's father then sked him.
"Ah, ano po, para pong formal feast siya ... may company event po kasi para sa mga investors." RJ answered in a slightly nervous tone.
"Bakit kailangan nandun si Meng?"
"Ipapakilala po kasi lahat po nung ... alam niyo na ... connected po sa family namin." Richard answered carefully, trying his best to not say anything wrong.
I'm ready! Tara na! ...
The two looked on and saw Maine emerge from her room. RJ stood up from the couch and gave her a wide smile.
"Oh sige na, umalis na kayo baka ma-late po kayo. RJ, ibalik mo yung anak ko bago mag alas-dose ah?" her father asked and RJ swiftly nodded.
"Tay naman, Cinderella lang ang peg?" Maine questioned her daughter.
"Alas-dose o hindi kita papasamahin?"
"Ah sige po , alas-dose na lang. Ito na, aalis na, bye!" Maine yelled and RJ was literally dragged by the hand towards the door.
"Tara bilisan natin." RJ heard Maine whisper. He said goodbye to her parents and helped Maine get into the car.
"Are you ready to go?" he asked and she nodded.
"Okay, let's go!"

"San tayo pupunta? Di ba mamaya pang gabi yung event?" Maine asked a few minutes after they drove away. She then looked at him and saw a mischievous smile on his face.
"Yep. But we need the entire day to prepare for it."
"Hala siya ... may surgery ba? Bakit kailangan whole day?"
"You'll see." He said with a smirk and Maine became a bit nervous.
"Emeghed, kapag may surgery ayawan na ah?" she whispered and RJ laughed.
