Maine's father was released from the hospital a few days later and so she, with the help of RJ, decided to throw him a small party to celebrate not only his recovery but also what they all considered as his second life. Maine smiled at the number of people who were there with them, even RJ and Kirby joined the party.
"MOMMY MAINE! LOOK! A PIG!!!" Maine heard Kirby yell, but when she followed the direction of his eyesight, she saw him staring at her Aunt instead.
"Aba, bastos na bata 'to ah." Maine muttered before she approached him.
"Baby Kirbs ... Tita ko 'yan, hindi yan baboy." She said calmly. Maine then placed her hand on his head and started combing his hair softly with her fingers.
"No! The one behind her! There's a pig! It's huge!!!" Kirby replied, trying to show Maine how huge the pig was using his hands. When Maine looked at the direction again, she finally saw that what Kirby was referring to.
"Baby Kirbs ... Lechon na yun, lutong pig na. Gusto mo yun?" Maine asked and Kirby quickly nodded.
"What's lechon?" Kirby asked back and Maine smiled warmly at him.
"Hay nako, bata ka. Matitikman mo din. Tita? Paki-bigyan nga po si Kirby nung lechon ... paki-tanong na lang po kung anong part yung gusto niya." Maine told her Aunt.
"I want the head!" Kirby yelled before he ran towards Maine's aunt.
"Homaygahd ka."

That familiar voice prompted her to turn around quickly, and as soon as she did, Maine saw RJ flashing a sweet smile on his face while holding three of the red roses in front of him.
"For you .." RJ said and Maine blushed instantly.
"Bheyb ... enebe? Ekew telege deme meng sherpreyshes. Teka, kinuha mo ba 'to sa kapit-bahay namen? Emeghed, megegelet se Eleng Peneng." Maine told him before she reluctantly took the flowers from his hands.
"Don't worry, ako mismo nanghingi sa kaniya." RJ assured her.
"Weh? Eh ang kuripot nun eh. Anong ginawa mo? Binola mo no?" she asked saw the guilty look on RJ's face.
"Babe naman eh, anong sinabi mo sa kaniya?"
"I asked her age tapos nung sinabi niya eh, hinati ko by half. 64 na siya kaya sinabi ko 32." RJ replied.
"Ah, kaya naman pala eh. Tatlong roses katumbas nung 30 years na binawas mo. Niloko mo pa yung matanda ano." Maine uttered and RJ chuckled.
"Babe, yung mahalaga, may bulaklak ako para sa iyo. I know the past few weeks have been very stressful to you kaya I want to take this chance para gawin yung trabaho ko ... bilang boyfriend mo. On that note, since we weren't able to celebrate our monthsary last Tuesday, can I ask you out on a trip this weekend?"
"Trip? Saan?" Maine questioned him back.
"Sa puso mo ... joke lang. Fuck, that's corny. I don't know, sa Subic ulit para beach? Start na ng enrollment na ni Kirby for kinder bukas kaya hanggang this weekend na lang yung hindi pa ako sobrang busy. Well, tomorrow I'll be a bit busy kasi sasamahan ko siya but I know dadami din yung work commitments ko by next week, ikaw din, you need to go back to work." RJ answered and Maine remembered something she forgot to tell him.
"Nga pala, RJ .. ay este babe ... tungkol dun. Nag-resign na ako kagabi."
"WHAT??? Kelan pa?"
"Kagabi nga di ba? Kakasabi ko pa lang."
