"What ... what are you talking about? We ARE in a relationship." RJ told his mom, trying to defend the role he and Maine took on. Mrs. Faulkerson sat up properly and looked at him.
"RJ ... did you really think na Lala won't tell me anything? Dumaan muna ako sa kaniya bago ako pumunta dito and she told me everything I needed to know ... including a helper named 'Maine'. I appreciate you trying to make it seem like you have it all together but RJ, it's time to face the music. Your life's currently a mess ... and that's okay. It is okay ... I understand that. I did not burst your bubble right away kasi I saw your effort. I thought mapapalagpas ko lang 'to." She told him. For the first time in a while, his mother made him smile. A few moments later, Maine returned and sat next to RJ. She raised both of her hands and apologized to them for walking out.
"It's okay, she knows." RJ told her. Maine's mouth fell open and she looked at his Mom.
"Yes, Iha. Lala told me everything bago pa ako pumunta dito. I don't know if he already told you but RJ and me ... our relationship is not exactly smooth. But I didn't come here to teach him a lesson or two; I came here to meet my grandson. So yes, we're gonna put all our differences aside and deal with the matter at hand." Mrs. Faulkerson said to her. RJ gulped, he knew every single word she uttered was true. He and his mom haven't been in good terms for quite some time. Things only changed after Kirby came, the little boy changed everything for him.
"Ah, ganun po ba? Sorry pa rin po Ma'am." Maine told his mom.
"It's alright, don't worry. And to be honest, you two look great together." Mrs. Faulkerson told them. RJ smiled and breathed a sigh of relief for everything worked out great after all.

"Sir, sorry po ulit ah." Maine told RJ after his Mom left. She locked the gate and walked closer to him. He smiled at her and said it was okay.
"Pero-"
"Babe, tama na okay? You played your part, that's enough." He told her. RJ was about to go inside the house when Maine realized he said something weird.
"Sir?!"
"What?" he asked impatiently.
"Bakit 'Babe' pa rin po tawag niyo sa akin? Eh di ba tapos na yung dinner?" she asked back. The expression on RJ's face turned from slightly annoyed into shocked.
"Ah ... nadala lang. Won't happen again, Maine. Don't get used to it." He replied before going inside the house, leaving her alone outside.
"Sus, reasons. Emeghed, Lord ... may himala nga ata." She whispered to herself before going inside as well. As soon as Maine walked in, she saw Richard lying on the couch. Kirby on the other hand was running around like a maniac. It was clear that the little boy was in his hyper mode.
"God, I'm so tired." RJ mumbled.
"Ah sir, gusto niyo po ng knock knock joke?" Maine asked, hoping to make him smile.
"Okay, fine." RJ sat up and stared at her.
"A joke?" Kirby asked. He then ran and sat next to his father. Maine's eyes widened, she wasn't expecting that they would pay attention to her at all.
"Emeghed. Oh sige, knock knock."
"Who's there?" RJ asked lazily.
"Toothless."
"Toothless who?" he asked her. Maine cleared uher throat and started singing.
