RJ rushed to Kirby and snatched the condom from the little boy's hand. He then stared at Kirby's face and hands to search of any sign of lube sticking to his skin.
"Did you try to blow it?" he asked.
"No." Kirby replied tearfully. RJ sighed and released the little boy's hands. Kirby sobbed and ran towards Maine.
"Saan nakuha ni Kirby yung condom? Pumasok ba yan sa kwarto ko?" he asked her.
"Ah Sir RJ, galing po yan dun sa shorts na kinalat ... ay este nakakalat kanina. Nilagay ko naman po sa taas ng drawer baka naabot niya." Maine replied before carrying Kirby up in her arms. RJ wanted to lash out at her for being careless but at the same time, he knew it was primarily his fault. And so he just took a deep breath and told Maine to be more careful next time.
"Be more careful next time, okay? Iakyat mo na siya." He told her. Maine nodded and went upstairs with Kirby. As soon as they were out of his view, RJ pulled out his phone and called Carter.
"Dude, where are you?" he asked.
"I'm in the tub, wanna join?" Carter asked back, teasing him.
"Fuck you, bro. I need a new plan. I thrashed the house this morning ... and by thrashed I mean THRASHED. But when I came back this evening, she already cleaned everything. And she didn't even complain to me! I don't know if that dedication or stupidity." RJ told his friend.
"Maybe both, but now at least you know."
"Know what?"
"The devil works hard but Maine works harder." Carter said and RJ laughed.
"Yes, she does." He said afterwards. Suddenly, a devious thought crossed RJ's mind. He did it once before and it worked.
"I know what to do."
"What is it? What's the grand plan, huh?" Carter asked him.
"I'm going to seduce her."

"Daddy hates me." Kirby said as soon as they entered his room. Maine smiled and carefully tucked the kid in his bed.
"No, hindi galit si Daddy mo ... tired lang yun, tired." Maine replied, comforting him.
"But I want a balloon!"
"Tomorrow, Kirbs. Bibili tayo ng balloons, okay? Bibili tayo ng sobrang dami. But for now, tulog ka na muna para maging big boy ka na." Maine told him. She started tapping Kirby's legs in hopes of making him fall asleep.
"Can you tell me a story?" Kirby asked after a couple minutes of silence.
"Lullaby na lang kaya ... do you want Ate Maine to sing you a song?" she asked. Kirby turned and nodded. Maine smiled and stood up. She took a deep breath and sang the first song that popped in her head.

Maine only stopped singing when she saw Kirby's petrified reaction. Her heart sank and she immediately covered her mouth using her hand.
"Ay, children's song nga pala. Wait, eto na ... are you ready, Kirby?" she asked and he nodded. Maine smiled and sang her favorite lullaby.
MAY TATLONG BEAR SA LOOB NG ISANG BAHAY ...

RJ was halfway up the stairs when he heard that familiar tune. It was the lullaby his mom used to sing to him when he was a kid.
