"How's Tito?" RJ asked Maine when he came back to visit the next day.
"Gumising na siya kagabi, nagulat nga kami eh. Nagdala kasi si Kuya nung sisig galing sa Pampanga, mga ilang minuto din siguro pagkatapos mag-amoy sisig dito sa kwarto biglang bumukas mata ni Tatay. Dun lang namin naalala na favorite pala niya yung sisig." Maine replied and RJ grinned.
"So ... nagising siya dahil sa sisig?" he asked and Maine nodded right away.
"Ah, I see. Kapag okay na si Tito, lilibre ko siya ng sisig. Maraming-maraming sisig." RJ said and Maine tapped him on the shoulder.
"Uh, babe?"
"Ano yun?"
"Ako din ah? Favorite ko din kasi yun eh." She said and RJ laughed.
"Of course. May balita na ba kayo kung ano talaga yung nangyari sa aksidente?" he then asked and Maine grabbed him by the hand and they went to the far end of the room.
"Nakita ko na, may pictures sina Nanay at Kuya. Hindi siya kasing grabe nung iniisip ko, buti na lang, siguro dahil din nasa may palengke na sila tapos laging medyo traffic dun. Gago lang talaga yung driver nung delivery truck na nakabangga sa kanila." Maine told him.
"Where's the driver now? Nakakulong na siya di ba?"
"Oo, dapat lang sa kaniya yun." She replied. RJ smiled and pulled Maine for a quick hug.
"Everything will be okay, I promise." He whispered and Maine looked up at him.
"Sa tingin mo maayos din lahat?" she asked.
"Oo naman." RJ answered and they both heard a couple of knocks on the door. RJ pulled away from Maine and opened it, only to see Marco standing on the other side.
"Marco?" he asked.
"Hello, Pare. Hindi ko alam na nandito ka pala. Ah Meng? May dala pala akong sisig para sa inyo ni Tito. Hindi to galling sa Angeles pero masarap naman." Marco said with a smile on his face. RJ looked down at the floor and frowned.
"Ah salamat! Emeghed, thank you ah. Pasok ka muna." Maine told him and so Marco did.
"Babe? C.R. lang ako." RJ said and left the room right away. After walking around for a few moments, RJ stopped and fished his phone out of his pocket. He took a deep breath and dialed the number of Lala's driver.
"Hello Manong? Can you do me a favor?'
"Opo naman, Sir RJ. Ano po yun?" the driver asked back.
"Daan ka dito sa hospital na pinuntahan niyo kahapon. I will give you money tapos punta ka sa Pampanga. Dun sa sikat na tindahan ng sisig? Bili ka nang sampung kilo." RJ said, letting his jealousy win.
"Bakit ang dami po?"
"Competitive ako, Manong. Wag ka na magtanong. I'll see you here in 20 minutes."

"Kelan kaya lalabas si Tatay?" Maine asked Marco a few seconds after RJ left them in the room. Marco sat on a nearby chair and shrugged.
"Pasensiya, di ko rin sigurado eh. Kaka-alis lang ni Doc, papasok pa lang yung ka-relyebo niya."
"Hindi naman masyadong grabe yung mga tama niya eh, makakuwi naman siya siguro agad-agad." Maine said, expressing concern for her father's current state.
"Makakaya ni Tito yan, siya pa? Sa bukid nga dati dib a pinalitan niya yung kalabaw nung pagod na? Siya yung humila tapos nag-araro dun." Marco said and Maine laughed.
"Susmaryosep naalala ko na naman yon."
"Nga pala, ayos lang ba kayo nung boyfriend mo? Parang mainit ulo niya ah." Marco uttered and Maine immediately apologized.
"Oo nga pala. Sorry ah? Medyo seloso kasi yun eh tapos may pagka-immature din minsan. Wag mo na lang pansinin kapag masungit siya." Maine told him.
"Noted," Marco replied and then smiled at her.

Cherry was busy watering the plants in the garden when she heard a car pull up in front of the house. She looked at it and recognized the owner right away.
"Lalaking shawarma ..." Cherry muttered before she walked towards the gate.
"Wala yung bespren mo dito." She told Carter as soon as he got out of the car.
"I didn't come for him." Carter replied and Cherry saw a bouquet of red flowers behind him. She opened the gate and started glaring at him.
"Flowers for you ..." Carter said and Cherry started blushing a bit.
"Ano na namang kalokohan 'to?" Cherry asked.
"I've thought it over and I realized that I like you ... and that I want to court you." Carter replied, looking at her straight in the eyes.
" .... PAKENINGPAKENINGPAKENINGSHIT KA."

Richard was about to return to the room when his phone started ringing. He looked at the screen and saw that it was his Dad. He just sighed and answered it.
"Hello, Dad?"
"Where are you, there will be a meeting at 4:00 pm."
"I'll be there, don't worry."
"Okay. Do you remember Mr. Gonzales's daughter? She just got back here from Canada. I want you to give her a quick tour tomorrow, I have a hunch that she can help us seal the deal with her father." RJ heard his Dad say and he quickly rolled his eyes.
"Can't you ask EJ to do that?"
"He's busy, you're going to do it ... RJ."
"Fine, whatever you say," RJ replied before he ended the call. The door to Mr. Mendoza's room then opened and he saw Marco walk out. RJ took a deep breath and approached him.
"Can we talk?" he asked.
"Sige, anong kailangan mo?" Marco asked back.
"I'm sorry, I tried to ignore this feeling but I can't ... naging kayo ba ni Maine dati?"
"Hindi."
"May gusto ka ba sa girlfriend ko?" RJ questioned him and Marco laughed a bit.
"Alam mo pare, wala kang dapat ipag-alala ... okay? Sige, magtra-trabaho pa ako. " Marco said before walking away. RJ just glared at him before he returned to the room.
"Oh san ka nanggaling?" Maine asked him.
"May pinuntahan lang," RJ answered. "Nagpabili nga pala ako ng sisig kay Manong."
"Talaga ... emeghed ... shelemet." Maine said and RJ smiled.
"Ah Babe, may sasabihin pala ako sa'yo." RJ whispered.
"Ano yun?"
"May babe time ba tayo this week?"
"Susmaryosep ka, kaka babe time lang natin kahapon tapos kailangan meron ulit?" Maine asked and so RJ pulled her closer,
"Alam mo na ... di ba gusto mo naman yung tender juicy ko?"
"Hoyyyy ... mapuputol yang tender juicy mong yan kapag di ka tumigil." Maine told him.
Akong puputol kapag di ka umayos ...
RJ's eyes widened at the stern voice of Maine's father. He immediately pulled away and looked at Mr. Mendoza, only to realize that he was staring at them.
"Kanina pa po kayo gising?" he asked.
"Oo ..."
"Patay." RJ whispered.
"Harot mo kasi ..." Maine replied.
"I'm dead ... I am so dead."
