Maine woke up early the next day so she could prepare properly for her new work. After sending RJ a quick good morning text with some encouraging words, Maine left her bed to officially start her day. She quickly washed her face before she joined her family for breakfast.
"Gising na pala ang dyosa." Maine heard her aunt say as soon as she occupied her seat.
"Kailangan ko pa bang tanungin bakit dito ka kumakain ng almusal, Tita?" she asked, smiling at her aunt.
"Aba, hindi na siyempre. Sarap ng luto ng nanay mo eh, papahuli pa ba ako?"
"Meng, ihahatid kita ngayon. Bilisan mo lang ah." Her father said and Maine nodded quickly.
"Na-plantsa ko na nga pala yung isusuot mo." Mrs. Mendoza said before pointing at the ironed clothes on the corner of the living room. Maine turned to look at it and was quickly appalled by what she saw.
"Nay naman eh! Mukha naman akong magpapa-PTA meeting niyan eh." She complained.
"Ano ka ba? Yan kaya yung uso ngayon."
"Pero hindi naman 1980's ngayon di ba? Jusko, may shoulder pads pa yung isa ... sino ako? Si Annie Batungbacal?" Maine asked and her aunt laughed out loud.
"Edi alisin mo yung blazer. Menggay naman eh."
"Nay, magpapantalon na lang muna po ako. Tsaka ko na lang susuot yan ... ang lakas maka-madam eh, baka mamaya pagalitan ako." She replied.
"Oh sige, basta isusuot mo yan ah?"
"Sige po ... kapag pupunta ako sa Frisco."
"Meng!"

RJ woke up with a heavy chest. He thought his father's explanation would somehow make his emotional baggage lighter but instead, it made everything worse.
Good Mooooooooooornniiiiiing Daddddeeeeeeeeeee!!!!!
Kirby yelled, causing RJ to almost jump out of surprise. He let out a sigh of relief and smiled when he saw his son laughing.
"Oh buddy, don't do that. You will give Daddy a heart attack. Are you hungry?" he asked.
"Yes," Kirby answered and they both heard the gate bell ring.
"Who could that be?"
"Is that Mommy Maine?" Kirby asked before running towards the window to see who it was. RJ left the bed as well and stood next to his son. There he saw standing outside the gate was no other than his best friend, Carter.
"Ugh, sorry Kirbs ... that's your Tito Carter."
Tiiitoooooo Caaaaarrrrrteeerrrr!!!
Kirby yelled and then ran out of the room. RJ grinned and followed his son.

"Maine, i-enjoy mo lang yan ah? First day mo pa lang naman. Kaya mo yan." Maine heard her mother say as soon as they pulled up in front of the building.
"Thank you po." She responded.
"Si RJ ba hindi ka pa tinawagan o tinext man lang?" her aunt then questioned her.
"Nag-text na siya, sabi niya magkita daw po kami mamaya." Maine replied.
"Oh sige na, baka ma-late ka pa. Pumasok ka na dun." Her father told her. Maine nodded, smiled at them, and got out of her father's jeepney. She then waved her hands and swiftly made her way to the entrance of the building.
