A Great Impact

I looked around me and my newly found pack. Blake, Jello, and Autumn had asked to be my mate a week ago. I was still thinking about it. I just didn't see why they all asked me at once! I had lead Blake, Autumn, Jello, Kya, Galactical, Champ, Connor, Spike, Shadow, and Cobalt to this den on the outskirts of that human town, the town of Peculiar. Believe it or not, I had lived in Peculiar for when I was 13- 19 years old. In my first life there had been A LOT of crime and evil wolves around. Oh, and I was almost finished on making a potion that would bring Connor back to normal. He had been so happy about it, you know, before his evil side took over. I hate that that has to happen. Whenever it does, he always hurts somebody. Not fatally, but scratches them or something like that. Actually, just yesterday, after his evil side took over, he scratched me three times on my muzzle. If he had scratched my nose, I would've died. It would have been cut open, and I would not be able to breathe. I was lucky.

I walked forward, getting some of the meat we had left for the journey ahead. It was a couple of rabbit legs. I knew I had to take some wolves hunting. I decided who to take. Gathering the food up in a satchel I had made, I worked out the plan in my head. It would work.

Jello, Blake, and Autumn followed me into the woods. "Cobalt, you're in charge!" I called as we left to go hunting. "Guys, what do you want to get?" I asked, sitting down patiently. "Sky, you're acting weird." Blake said, squinting and sniffing me over. "I don't care what we hunt for!" Jello exploded. Everyone was so surprised at his outburst, or should I say volcanic eruption, because his face was so red. Nobody spoke for a full two minutes. It was the most awkward moment in both of my lives. Until Autumn finally said something. "Let's get some deer." Blake nodded. We sniffed out a deer herd and asserted the plan. I took the front, Blake, the right, Autumn, the left, and Jello, the back. "NOW!" I barked. Blake and Autumn bit the deer's side, and hung on for deer (Get it?) life. The deer bucked and kicked backward. "JELLO!" I yelled as I saw the hoof connect with his leg. He had been rearing up and ready to attack. He was hurt. He fell to the ground, but I couldn't leave Blake and Autumn. I ran toward the deer, digging my fangs deep into its neck. I could tell I hit the jugular, the vein that if broken would kill anything in a matter of seconds. Blood spurted into my face, spraying my coat in the red haze. The deer fell to the ground, and Blake and Autumn had gotten out of the way before being crushed by the weight of the animal. We all ran to Jello.

"Blake, I'll carry him. You take Sky to get cleaned up." Blake nodded, and led me (Though I could barely see because of the blood) to get cleaned up. I washed all the blood off of myself. I could see again! I was so happy, I pranced around, knocking Blake over. He laughed, and I laughed with him. It was the happiest either of us had felt in weeks. And then, Autumn ran over, panting. He took no notice that I was on top of Blake. Something bad had happened. "What is it?" I asked. "Jello, he- He's going to die." Blake's face turned a pale, scary white. "The doctors have healed his leg, but he only has a few hours left to live." Autumn said as we got to Jello. Autumn and Blake hugged Jello and said everything they'd wanted to say to him. Then, I took Jello into the woods with me. "You helped me live, kept me safe, helped me fight and win against the unchanging spirits, heck, you even saved me from Rex. You are one of the nicest guys out there. Jello, what I'm trying to say is, I-" A bear leaped out of the bushes, Its huge paw slapped me and threw me into a tree. "Sky, GO!" "No, Jello, I can't-" "Now, Sky! I'm going to die anyway." With tears in my eyes, I said "Thank you, Jello." I nuzzled his cheek. I bolted for home. When I made it, I burst into tears. "What happened?" Blake demanded. "Are you hurt?" Autumn asked. "J-J-Jello... He's dead."
