Unchanging Spirits

"Stop running! I'm one of you!" "NO!" I ran on, fur flowing in the wind. I was now out of the forest, and all I saw was houses. It was getting light out. I had to get home- fast. This wolf had been in my past life. His name was Jello. Jello was a male wolf. I was a female. Sky and Jello were very different. Jello had dark green fur on his body, brown fur on his stomach. I tripped over a rock, paws slipping, and rolled a few feet until I stopped, the boot of a poacher on my stomach. I wriggled, trying to get out of that grasp, before it was too late. I remembered pain. Pain had accompanied me on my journey. Now, I was ready for it. I growled at the man,  baring my teeth and showing him my powerful jaws. I managed to get out of his grip and bite his hand when he tried to reach for his gun. "Jello! Lets go!" His head snapped to look at me. "Sky?" I heard his words. I wanted to run back, to do something. "Sky! Wait! Don't go!" I looked at him, as he tried to catch up to me. No luck for him. Jello and I made it to my house in under three minutes. Why hadn't Jello done anything? He hadn't tried to help me. He would've in our past lives. "How can you be one of me?"I snapped. A white light surrounded Jello, and he changed into a human. "Wait, you're Leo? Your in my class!" "Yeah, I was hoping you wouldn't find out like this." "Find out what?" I asked as I changed into Sora. "No! Don't do that. You need to be in your wolf form every day after school. No matter what." I changed back into Sky. "Why?" I sat down. My tail swept across the grass, picking up leaves and throwing them. "Because of the Unchanging Spirits. They have come here."
