Sora smiled at the sunshine spreading through her window. No clouds were in the sky. Good, Sora thought. Perfect for learning to fly. She got dressed, then Sora crept downstairs. She grabbed a waffle and ate it quickly, then put on her shoes. Sora looked around the yard. No luck. She then peered into the woods. Sky was there, beckoning Sora. Sora ran over to her. "Okay, so I told you we could fly today, but I want to show you something." Sky led Sora into the woods, toward a metal ball. When Sky tapped on it with her paw, light exploded from it. "This is my world." Sky explained. "Or was." The wolves on it were all fighting another wolf who was just killing them all. "That's Rex."  As soon as Sora heard the name, she was mad. Rex shouldn't be doing this. She had to help! "I need to go to your world." Sky turned to Sora and shook her head. "Not yet. Your not ready yet." Sora nodded. Sky took Sora out of the woods and told her to become her. She did, and she said to reveal Sora's wings. Sora didn't understand. "How?" She asked. "Just think of wings." Sky whispered. Sora nodded, determined. She imagined wings. Suddenly, poof! She had wings! The tops of them were white and the bottoms were blue. "Now fly up." Sky told her. Sora focused on a single tree, then flew up to it and kept level with its height. "Practice becoming me and getting your wings out, okay? Also, practice the takeoff." Sora had learned to fly. She was almost on her own.
