"Sky!" Blake cried cheerily, running across the clearing toward me. It had been two weeks since the incident with Todd. "I have something to show you!" He yipped. "Okay..." I said. Blake seemed really happy about this. "Follow me!"
I ran beside Blake to who knows where. Two hours later, he was covering my eyes. "Alright, open in three. One, two, three." It was beautiful. The sky was covered in transparent stalactites. Ice covered the walls, ceiling, the ground... I looked at the middle of the room. It was an ice fountain. Blake smiled. "You like it?" I couldn't speak. "Its marvelous." Blake took me to another section of the cave. Snow fell from the sky. It was night. The stars were out. There was no ceiling on this part of the cave. The snow fell on my snout, my ears, my tail.
I looked up. "Wow..." I breathed. Blake laughed. He chose a part of the cave with the warmest air, then lay down. I placed my head on his stomach and fell asleep.
The next morning, the sunshine woke me up. "BLAKE! SKY? WHERE ARE YOU?" Shouts could be heard. "Blake. Blake!" I woke him up. I read his expression. We fled from the cave, running into a flat, rocky area. It looked like a... no, couldn't be. BLAM! A huge explosion thundered next to us. It launched me into the air. I slammed into the ground. The air was knocked out of me. I gasped for breath. So much smoke was next to me. I kept inhaling the smoke-filled air, while trying to crawl toward the grass. I couldn't see anything. My ears were ringing like a telephone. I yelled. I knew I was yelling. But I couldn't hear myself. I think I was yelling the word Blake. I wasn't sure. I opened my eyes. Somehow I found the strength to do that. Burning trees were everywhere. I watched a limb crack and splinter, then fall to the ground. I couldn't hear it. I saw something up ahead moving. I realized I'd been speaking the entire time. I felt my mouth move, and didn't hear a word come out. Blake! Yes, it was Blake! He was the thing moving. My efforts to crawl were useless. I examined my legs. Blood poured out of multiple wounds on my legs. I rolled toward Blake. Reaching him, I stopped. His mouth was moving. Was he saying something? I didn't know. My mouth was moving. What was I saying? I managed to make out Blake's words by seeing what he was doing. He said "Sky, you're fluff!" Wait, that wasn't it. "Sky, you're dead!" That wasn't right, either. "Sky, you're deaf!" I fell back as another explosion shook the ground. I was hurled backward into a tree. My back wrapped around the tree. Pain exploded into me, shooting around my body. I found that I couldn't move my legs. I stared at the paws in confusion. The tree I slammed into fell on my back legs. I didn't feel anything. My left ear stopped ringing. I managed to ear myself yell. "BLAKE! HELP!" A figure ran up to me. I heard another explosion, then the word faded into nothingness.
