Training Blake

Streaks of pink, orange, and blue shot through the sky. I yawned, struggling to my paws. Last nights hunt had been a hard one-we had to bring down a doe. Blake was still acting strangely, meaner, even. I walked briskly toward the woods. A strange yellow glow came from beneath the canopy of trees. I wondered if it was Chask. My ears pricked forward. Low growls were coming from where the yellow light was. Suddenly, "HELP!" Someone yelled. I ran toward the sound, going as fast as I could. A yellow wolf was being attacked by a white wolf that was glowing, sending off a beacon of yellow light. "Help..." The yellow wolf's breathing was ragged, and his eyes were glazed over in pain. I threw myself at the white wolf, who was surprised I was helping the yellow wolf. "You don't understand!" The white wolf yelled after I'd broken his grip on the yellow wolfs throat. "He's evil!" I kicked the white wolf away and picked the yellow wolf up on my back. I flew as fast as possible toward the medicine house. I placed the yellow wolf on the table, and worked quickly to mend his wounds. I couldn't use my healing powers- they weren't working. Suddenly, the yellow wolf gasped, then lay still. Blood seeped from a wound on his neck. I felt tears slip down my muzzle. "I couldn't save him..." Still sobbing, I became Sora and walked to my house, then crawled into bed. Sleep came quickly. The forest stretched out beyond me. Blake was running, another blue wolf beside him. "Now, here we are." The other wolf said. "Where are we, Kilo?" Blake asked. "We are in the training area. You are going to fight  wolves until you can beat four on your own. Show no mercy." Kilo stepped back as Blake raced toward the sandy lot. I followed on Blake's tail. Kilo clearly didn't know I was there. Three wolves pounced upon Blake. Blake snarled and bit and clawed his way free of them. He then ran slowly away from one, then turned on it. Quick as lightning, he snapped the wolf's neck. He did the same to the second wolf. When the third wolf approached Blake, he dove underneath it and clawed its underbelly. Blake rose to his paws as the third wolf fell still, dead. Another wolf emerged out of the darkness in front of Blake. "Kilo." Blake said, teeth bared. "Blake. I see you've beaten three wolves. I'm the fourth." Without warning, Kilo launched himself onto Blake and proceeded to rip his teeth into Blake's fur, biting and clawing whenever he could. Blood pooled beneath Blake until it was in the form of a puddle. I couldn't watch anymore. I crouched, readying myself for a leap. I pushed off with my hind legs, crashing into Kilo and sending him flying. Kilo lay on the ground, unconscious. I nosed Blake to his paws. "I didn't need your help you know." He grumbled. "I could've taken care of it." "You could've, but I don't want you dead." I replied tersely. Blake's wounds still dripped blood as we walked away from the creepy forest. As I emerged from the forest and was dropped into my bed, I thought about Blake. That much bleeding could kill him! I raced to Blake's house and found him sprawled on the floor in wolf form, bleeding. I grabbed his scruff in my mouth and flew up six feet in the air, then carried Blake into the medicine den. Our healing wolf was sleeping. "Wake up!" I nosed her with my muzzle. She yawned and got to her paws, then proceeded to fix up Blake's wounds. They had stopped bleeding. "He'll be fine." I turned to go. "Sky." Blake was calling me. I turned to look at him. "Thank you."
