It was the day before we started Senior High. I lay on the top of my roof watching the last rays of sunshine get taken over by the purple and the indigo. I was thinking about how swiftly time went. I clearly remembered the day I moved in this city, which was also the day I met you. I reminisced about the first day of Junior High when I made such amazing friends. How did time move so fast? I was nervous about the first day of Senior High but thankfully you were going to be there with me. We were going to the same school and that relieved me a bit.
"Kira!" I thought I heard you calling my name. I was so lost in thoughts it took me a second to realise you were actually calling me from the balcony.
"Come up here." I called you with delight.
We remained sitting quietly beside each other for a while. The sun was gone at this point and the stars had emerged. I always liked looking at the stars, the vast stretch of them sparkling endlessly. I lay down to get a better view of it. You followed.
We stayed quiet for another minute or so before you spoke,
"Nervous about tomorrow?"
"You have no idea." I replied without missing a beat.
"I remember when you first joined Raimon. You seemed so lost and confused. Are you going to be like that again?" You asked with amusement.
"Why?You're going to be there with me. I'll just follow you around." I announced my solution.
"Like a ghost." You teased.
"Yes! Like a ghost!" I played along.
We sat up, about to get off the roof as it was late and you had to return home as well. Suddenly, we saw a falling star, with its blazing long tail making an arc. I gawked at it in awe, my mouth forming an inaudible gasp. I looked over to you and found you mumbling something quickly.
"What are you doing?" I asked with a chuckle.
"Of course I'm making a wish." You only replied after you were done.
"Does that even work?" I joked.
"I don't know but I would like to try." You added, "You should have made a wish too. You wasted an opportunity."
"What would I even ask for?" I casually responded.
"Don't you have anything you want?" You seemed surprised.
I smiled and came closer. Giving you a quick peck on your lips I said,
"Nope."
