One day I walked in the bedroom, tired and rubbing my eyes, ready to fall asleep only to be stopped dead in my tracks at the door by the sight present in front of me. You were getting ready to go to work but your attire was completely different from anything I had ever seen you wear.

"Am I too sleepy or are you actually wearing that?" I joked leaning against the door.

"Don't I look good?" You turned to me smirking as you fixed your ascot.

"Didn't say that." I smirked as well, "But what's the occasion?"

"I guess it's time to tell you." You walked over to me, "I am the new chairman of The Youth Soccer Association. Today is officially my first day."

My sleepiness was instantly gone and replaced by excitement as soon as I heard you. Next moment, I was hugging you enthusiastically,

"Oh my God! Why didn't you tell me before? We could have celebrated!" I screamed joyously.

"We can go somewhere in the evening. " You answered and I nodded.

In the evening I put on my best dress and skipped my way down to your office to pick you up. I knew by the time I'd reach there office time would be over. As expected, the place was almost empty save one or two people who were still wrapping things up before leaving. I knocked on your door and waited with stifled laughter.

"Come in." Your busy voice came from the other side. I quickly opened the door and peeked in.

"Hi!" I chimed with a grin.

"Kira?" You were surprised to see me there but after your initial bafflement, you were happy.

I walked in, looking around in awe and curiosity. My gaze covered the entirety of the place and finally rested on the huge window behind your desk that offered a breathtaking view of the vast soccer fields and the setting sun above them. I continued to stare at it, spellbound.

"Shall we go?" Your voice broke my trance.

"Wait, wait, what's the hurry?" I blurted, my eyes still fixed at the sunset ahead of me, "Just let me look at it some more."

You then followed my gaze and then looked back at me, "Fine, but only five minutes. " You sighed.

I leaned against the desk facing the window and you sat down on your chair.

"So, how was your first day?" I asked, taking a strand of your hair between my fingers.

" Fine." You answered nonchalantly.

"Just 'fine'?" I tried to get you to elaborate.

"What else can it be?" You shrugged.

I was about to reason with you some more but realised it was futile. You wouldn't budge from your one-word descriptions. The thought made me chuckle and I finally ended the conversation with "Okay, 'fine' it is."

It was amazing how a place like that could feel so serene at that hour, the air as fresh as mint, the warmth of the sun falling upon us through the window so gently. I looked at you and found you returning my gaze. You looked tired but also content and delighted, subconsciously playing with my fingers and it made me happy to see that your hard work continued to pay off.

Before I knew it, I was leaning forward and kissing you, catching you by surprise in the process.

"What was that for?" Your eyes were widened.

In response, I just shrugged and smiled.
