I was disappointed when I couldn’t get a chance to talk to you after the argument we had in my office. It made me sad to think that after not seeing you for so long when I finally did, all we did was argue.

The Holy Road Tournament had begun and Raimon was swiftly making their way up to the finals. With every match they won, all of our hope got stronger and stronger. It was only a matter of days when all of our problems would meet their end. I was getting giddy with excitement when I thought about how soon enough, you would be back to me, just as we were.

One evening I took a stroll as the atmosphere seemed peaceful. My mind was occupied in making plans for things to do after Holy Road. Lost in my thoughts, I passed by the park but something made me stop. I thought I saw a faint yellow glow coming from inside. I stood there in confusion for a while but dismissed it as unimportant when I couldn’t figure what it could be. I had only taken a couple of steps when the glow appeared and I was forced to look again. I was now curious to find out what it was. Slowly and stealthily I made way inside not knowing what to expect.

I was surprised to find out two of Raimon’s kids practicing by themselves. I was even more surprised to find that what they were practicing was nothing but an improved version of your fire tornado. I was trying to make sense of what was happening there and how did they do that when I got my final and most shocking surprise of all.

You slowly emerged from the shadows and gave them some directions. They practiced a couple more times, slightly improving each time. I remained hidden and watched the whole thing unfold before me with absolute astonishment. After another ten or fifteen minutes they concluded their practice session and left. I immediately jumped out of my hiding place, which was bush, and quickly approached you. You had already turned and begun walking so I called out to you,

“What do you think you’re doing?” I repeated your words back to you.

You turned around swiftly, startled by my voice. Before I could say anything I was dragged aside in the dark.

“What are you doing here?” You asked in hushed voice.

“You gave me an earful the other day for taking risks and now you’re here coaching the opposite team out in the open?” I asked the instant I could.

“It was necessary.” You answered gravely.

“Why? They have been great so far. I’m sure they will be so in the finals too.” I reasoned.

“I cannot take any chances with that. We cannot afford to lose after coming this far.”

“I think you’re right.” I answered after pondering on your words for a moment.

“Also, can you not tell anyone I’m coaching Tenma and Tsurugi?”

“Why?” I asked.

“God!Kira can you please, for once, do what I ask you to?” You answered in annoyance.

“Fine.” I chuckled, “I forgot you aren’t good at explaining.”

You turned to leave and you would have left in a blink if I hadn’t held your hand and stopped you. You turned to me with questioning eyes.

“I miss you.” I said quietly. Your gaze softened as soon as you heard the words. You answered with nothing but a smile before walking away quickly.
