One morning I found you standing at my doorstep again. I invited you in but you seemed to be in a rush,

"I can't come in right now. I just came by to tell you I'm going away for a while." You announced.

"Wh-where are you going?" I asked highly concerned.

"Uhh...how do I explain this..." You fumbled for words.

"Come in first! We can't be having this conversation like this." I said.

"No I can't..."

"I said come in!" I pulled you in by your hand and closed the door behind us.

"Okay so where are you going?" I resumed the conversation.

You paused for a while and then finally answered feebly, "To the future."

"What?!" I yelled in surprise. You didn't say anything further so I continued, "Do you realize what are you saying? You cannot do this."

"I don't think I have a choice. It's necessary." You replied.

"You have no idea what kind of things you might come across. No, it's too dangerous." I remained adamant.

"Kira I have to! It's the only way we can save Endou's life."

I stayed quiet for the next few seconds. I looked into your eyes and saw nothing but determination. I realized there was no point trying to sway you from your decision.

"Fine!" I walked over to you and held onto your hand, " Then take me with you."

Your eyes widened and at first you fumbled for words.

"I can't let you go to that unseen time and place and just sit here calmly. "

"You know I can't do that." You looked away.

"Why?" I could sense the desperation in my voice growing as I held your face between my palms in an attempt to turn to me.

"I just...can't." You put my hands away, "I have to go." You solemnly declared in a low voice and placing a quick kiss on my forehead you walked away.

"No!Wait!" I tried to stop you by holding your arm again but you got away before I could.

I fell down on the couch and began crying in frustration and worry. I couldn't understand anything you did nor did you seem keen on explaining and all of this was making me feel exhausted. All I could do was wait for you again.
