After the feast had ended me and Evan walked together with the rest of our house to the Ravenclaw tower. When we arrived the prefect that was leading us stopped at the the door and said to us, "Welcome, I'm Jeremy North and I'm a prefect. Now, since I'm a prefect that means if I tell you to do something, you do it. If I tell you to clean the entire castle you do it. Because I said so..."
I nudged Evan and whispered, "This guy sound like my mum.." Evan rolled his eyes and nodded his head.
"Now, you should all know," He continued. "That to get into the tower you must answer a riddle. So if you follow me we can see what our question will be!"
We were at the big, brass, door when the door knob of an eagle on the door began to move and it then asked us all, "What is always coming but never arrives??"
The group was silent but only for few seconds. Then a montage of voices were heard yelling over each other and almost every child's hand sprang into the air. Finally Jeremy picked a strawberry blonde haired girl in the front and her answer was "tomorrow" and, to what seemed like Jeremy's surprise, she got it right. We all entered a large round room with dark blue curtains and a magnificent starry sky ceiling. Jeremy had told us where our rooms were so I followed his instructions and went where he said. My room was one of the smaller ones so I would only have 3 roommates. Which, wasn't that much of a problem for me. After I had made it up to my room I noticed the girl, who answered the question right, was one of my roommates.
"Hello, I'm Marsha Greenway!" She said to me as soon as I entered to room that we shared.
"Oh, hi, I'm Veronica Hearst."
"Well it's very nice to meet the both of you!" Said a girl with two red braids going down to slightly above her waist. The girl came out from behind the four poster around the navy blue beds. "Hi, I'm Jane Lester."
"Excuse me... But, does anyone know what house we have herbology with?" said a girl with short black hair. "Oh by the way, I'm Amy, Amy Robinson."
"Oh, well, I think we have that class with the Slytherins." Replied Marsha.
"Oh that's great I get to see one of my friends!" I said thinking of getting to hang out with Eliza.
"Wait, you have a 'friend' in Slytherin??" Asked Amy, with a look of disgust.
"Well, yes. Do you have a problem with that??" I asked slightly raising my tone but also staying as professional as you could get at 11 years of age.
"No.. No.." Amy muttered under her breath as she went back into her herbology book.
I had decided then and there that I had talked to Amy enough for one night. I went over to my bed, pulled the curtains, and changed into my nightgown. I got into my bed and snuggled into the large, puffy, cover. I had only just laid down when I felt myself drifting into a deep peaceful sleep, in the enchantingly, marvelously, wonderful place I was to call home for the next 7 years.
