I barely slept that night. I mean how could I? I was up all night making theories and assumptions about what Draco and Eliza were talking about. I was awoken early by Eliza turning on the lights in my room and yelling at me.
"You need to get up! I just saw some of the Malfoys already leaving their tent and we are still in our pajamas!!" I really didn't want to be 'those' friends that are always late. So I jumped out of bed despite being incredibly exhausted. "Don't worry about breakfast because we can just use Malfoy-Money to buy popcorn or somthing!" We laughed and then Eliza left to go get ready. I put on my Ireland jersey and jeans. I brushed my hair and all the other things required to be ready to go. When I left my room Eliza was still in hers getting ready.
When Eliza was ready to go we left our tent and went to find Draco's parents so we could tell them that we were done with our tent. We happen to see them going to the stadium. Me and Eliza shared a look of uncomfortableness as we stood in our Ireland jerseys. We saw that the entire Malfoy family was wearing solid black.
"Mrs. Malfoy, we are done with-" I began to say before I was interrupted by Mrs. Malfoy.
"Done with your tent? Yeah I got that from the fact you that you're here now." I now knew where Draco gets it from. I didn't know how to respond. Eliza and I went to walk by Draco who seemed undisturbed by his mother's attitude.
"So Draco, what team are you going for?" Eliza asked. I thought this was a risky question to ask. Considering we were wearing Ireland jerseys. What if he goes for Bulgaria?
"Oh I think that Ireland is a load of rubbish and Bulgaria needs to win." Draco said as me and Eliza thought things couldn't get more awkward. "Lighten up you two, I'm joking of course I'm going for Ireland." We laughed of relief and continued walking.
-------time skip-----
"Draco? How much further do we have to walk?" Eliza asked as we walked up another set of stairs.
"Not long Eliza, this is what's required for having the best seats"
"He has a point." I said, I didn't mind walking if it was indeed going to be the best seats. Then our group came to a sudden stop and Draco ran to his father's side. I looked down to see the Weasley family along with Granger, Potter, and... Ruth? I heard Draco and his father having a conversation with Mr. Weasley. I didn't hear any of it due to the fact of me wondering what Ruth was doing with the Weasleys. I don't think I missed much of a conversation though, it was probably just the two grown men making empty threats at each other.
We carried on with our walking. When we made it to the top step, I knew Draco was right, these were remarkable seats. Draco sat by his parents and I was going to sit by Draco. I heard someone say my name and so I let Eliza slide into the row before me so that I could see who was calling me. I turn around to see Fred Weasley and Ruth sliding into the row of chairs behind of us.
"What are you doing here?" I asked Ruth as she was eating her popcorn. "And with the Weasleys?"
"Fred invited me." My eyebrows raised slightly out of shock. "You think you're the only one with friends?" I guess Ruth noticed my shocked expression. "And I know this seems shocking to you, but there are people here to actually enjoy the game and not just here for the fact of being here."
"I'll remember you Hearst sisters when I think me and George fight a lot." Fred said laughing, Ruth laughed as well. Which was weird considering he kinda just insulted us. Ruth and Fred went into their own conversation and I was stuck, yet again, being the third wheel to Draco and Eliza. As the game went on, I couldn't help but count down the minutes until it was over. I thought this day would allow me to leave summer with a happy feeling. I was wrong, and things only got worse.
