(This chapter is a brief summary of what happens the rest of the school year. I made this chapter the way it is to avoid the story dragging on)

A few weeks after the extravagant event happened with Draco. Me and Draco had talked a few times since then. I was doing incredibly well with my grades. Me, Eliza, and Evan had all become all close as a group of 11 year olds could be. Whether it was making fun of professors, or laughing at Evans stupid jokes, we were always together.

One class that I really loved was flying. I loved the rush of adrenaline that pumped through me and I flew miles into the air. But, despite my love for flying, I was never a lover of sports so I would not be participating in quidditch next year. Speaking of quidditch, Ruth and me were talking just recently and she is all discombobulated about how Harry Potter is the youngest seeker to ever be at Hogwarts. Ruth, who is on the Gryffindor quidditch team as a chaser, is in constant amazement of Potter's skills.

Some time had passed and it was now the day of the first quidditch game of the season and the whole school had been thrown into a suspense filled excitement. Me and Evan were very conflicted. We didn't know whether to stand with Slytherin, which was our closet friends house, or Gryffindor and with Ruth, who was actually on the team. Eliza had told us that she thought all three of us should just go sit on the Gryffindor side because we needed to show support for Ruth. So that's what we did. The game went rather quickly, all I remember is the Slytherins yelling mean things at the Gryffindor team. Long story short, Gryffindor won the match. Potter caught the golden snitch by catching it in his mouth!

Nothing else very exciting after that happened during the next few months of the first semester. I had become more of friend terms with some of my roommates. Amy was still as bitter as ever. I had decided I wasn't getting anywhere with that friendship so I might as well forget about it.

I went back to my home for the holidays. It was such a grand time, for Christmas from my family I got, a necklace with the Ravenclaw crest on it, a couple of chocolate frogs, a new book on one of my favorite subjects, potions, and a new cage for my owl, Betty. From Evan and Eliza I received, a dark blue sweater, and a journal with a golden "V" imprinted on it. I of course bought my friends something. I had bought Evan a biography on Phineas Nigellus Black, and for Eliza I found a set of two Slytherin key chains. I figured I could kill two birds with one stone and just give the other key chain to Draco. After the holiday I returned to Hogwarts to be greeted by Evan and Eliza pulling me into a group hug. Then we all walked to the great hall when I saw Draco wandering around with his crowd. I told Evan and Eliza I would meet up with them later and I took off to Draco to give him the key chain.

"Hello Draco." I said hoping that he would remember that we were friends.

"Veronica, do you need something or are you just coming to look at the marvellous view known as myself." He said with the self confidence that he did not need more of.

I rolled me eyes and sighed "No, I actually came over here to give you this." I said as I handed over the key chain. "Happy Christmas Draco Malfoy."

"Wait? Is this a gift? Well I guess I should be sad to tell you this Veronica but, I didn't get you anything." Draco said emotionless. I couldn't decide if he genuinely felt bad or just wanted to escape the awkward situation. "Here," Draco said as he rustled his hand into his pocket and pulled out a small charm that can be put onto a necklace. "My parents bought me loads of these charms, and I don't need so many, so here you go. Happy Christmas Veronica Hearst." Then I saw a rare sighting, I saw Draco Malfoy give a small smile. It was an odd thing to see him of all people do. I smiled back and left to the great hall to find my friends.

Skip ahead a few months to the beginning of April. Nothing new had happened since the holidays, the only thing is that once when I was walking alone to my room I thought I heard two people speaking to each other. But, when I looked from afar to the door I saw only one shadow. I don't know who the person was but, the voice sounded familiar. I didn't put my finger on the voices identity until the next week in Defense Against the Dark Arts when Professor Quirrell had begun talking. For the next few weeks I had dwelled to myself on this curious topic. Then toward the end of the term word got around that said Quirrell was actually sharing a soul with. . . Voldermort. Voldermort was here at Hogwarts and nobody realized. I had so many different thoughts on this matter but none were confirmed considering that nothing more was said on the topic.

I was very pleased with myself and my house. We had come in second place in the house tournament. Slytherin was first, which I don't really mind since two of my friends are in that house. Dumbledore began announcing the winners and amount of points each house had. He then out of the blue starting giving Gryffindor a bunch of points. He practically gave Harry Potter points for just being alive! Dumbledore gathered all the hopes of hundreds of children into one bowl only to drop it and watch it shatter into hundreds of pieces! Me and Evan appeared to be the only ones, who were not at the Slytherin table, that thought this was totally wrong. Everyone in the great hall, except Me, Evan, and the entire Slytherin table, was rejoicing! What was going through their minds? Well, I guess I will never know. All I know is that it was a ridiculous way to end such a great year.

Besides the whole house points catastrophe, my year at Hogwarts was the best year of my life, so far anyways. My ride back home was rather short. I fell asleep for most of it. I had given my address to Evan and Eliza hoping that they would write me. We all said our goodbyes as we all pranced away with our parents. Waiting for the next magical year at Hogwarts.~
