January/February:
These two months came and went with not much news. Me, Evan, and Eliza were back to being the holy trinity. That was our unspoken, yet unanimously, voted group name in our minds. Ever since I had made my place in mine and Draco's friendship, he has shown more respect toward me. Evan is still torturing Helen's Hufflepuff friend, Sally-Anne. I think I feel worse for Sally than I do for Evan. Anyways, like I said, during this month nothing happened. January is always like that. Since it's the new year everyone is busy making plans of change instead of actually doing anything so nothing ever actually happens. And February is filled with overpriced chocolate and magical off-pitched singing flowers.March/April:
March and April dragged on as slowly as history of magic class. Marsha's birthday is March 3rd so naturally I got invited to that party. It was exactly what I thought it would be, loud and yet very boring. Draco and Eliza had become good friends and so when Evan was tutoring poor Sally-Anne, we three hung out. The only slight problem was whenever we would pass other Slytherins, Eliza and Draco would walk faster or slower. I suppose they thought I wouldn't and didn't notice. I didn't draw attention to this because I don't feel like dealing with more Slytherin drama. Me and Eliza met Sally-Anne's older sister, Sophie. Who was conveniently was also a third year. She had a long blond ponytail that waved back and forth when she walked cheerfully in her long Hufflepuff robe. Her, me, and Eliza, all had fun trying to figure out the mysterious Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher. The only conclusion we made was that he either had cancer or was a werewolf. But both of those opinions seemed beyond bizarre at the time. Evan also developed a new interest in explaining muggle music to Ruth. Ruth and Evan got along well, and I was glad Evan finally had someone who understood his love for music.May/June:
May and June were very busy months at Hogwarts. Final exams had everyone running stressful circles around each other. Speaking of, I think I did fairly well on my exams. All of my friends felt this same way about their exams, except Evan. He thought he did, 'exceptional!'. I haven't decided who has the biggest ego yet, Draco or Evan.
Me, Sophie, and Eliza, were all baffled when we heard the news and that we were indeed right about Professor Lupin. He didn't have cancer, but he was indeed a werewolf.
Since two of my friends have birthdays in June, I started my summer off, broke. But I did manage to get a pair of black/sliver earrings for Eliza and I decided not to get Draco anything. When Draco couldn't understand why I didn't get him anything, I explained to him how I was merely preparing him for the disappointment that was sure to come in our adult life. Also, I didn't tell Draco this, but I spent my whole budget on Eliza's earrings. Evan liked my gift to Draco. His reasoning was that he was glad he wasn't the only one receiving gag gifts from me.
The year concludes with the perfect, cliché portrayal of me, Eliza, and Evan all riding home together on the train. With the one time of Draco waking by our compartment and nodding a hello. I will conclude this year by saying that I appreciated the much needed change this year brought me.sorry for the long wait and short chapter..
