Most parents, grandparents, and great grandparents do not give much of a hoot for the health and happiness of other children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren existing in our country. Indeed, all of us are not the masters of religion; but the sick victims of a sick system of education.
By and large, we filipinos have been educated to be loving and devoted first and only to Jesus, our Savior; never mind love of mothers and fathers, brothers and sisters; or love for our country; or love for our fellow-citizens; and never mind respecting the laws of our land down here. What's more important is to avoid damnation, by seeking always eternal salvation to eventually be with Jesus in heaven up there. Look at the sick and insane results on our sick and insane society down here?
In the meantime, read Luke 14:26 - Jesus proudly declared: "IF ANY MAN COME TO ME AND HATE NOT HIS FATHER AND MOTHER, WIFE AND CHILDREN, BROTHERS AND SISTERS, AND YEA, HIS OWN LIFE ALSO, HE CANNOT BE MY DISCIPLES." Look at millions upon millions of Filipinos who have been educated in schools, colleges, and universities to believe and to always have faith in Jesus - our Savior - who died for our sins and crimes!--- Poch Suzara
