I would love to believe that when I die I will live again, that some thinking, feeling, remembering part of me will continue. But as much as I want to believe that, and despite the ancient and worldwide cultural traditions that assert an afterlife, I know of nothing to suggest that it is more than wishful thinking. - - - Carl Sagan

For my part, I ask: if our human body is a temporary nothing on this earth as compared to the human soul that will be a permanent something in heaven - why would a creator bother to create the human body on this earth to begin with?

The Bible confirms there is no life after death: "The dead know not anything, neither they have any more a reward for  the memory of them is forgotten." - - - Eccl. 9:5
