Most parents and grandparents, as they are the disciples of Jesus, have no genuine love for their sons and daughters or for their grandsons and granddaughters in the Philippines - the only Christian country in Asia since the 16th century.
This is simply due to, if not simply because of what Jesus - our Savior - have revealed as truth in the bible:
"If anyone comes to me and does not hate his own father and mother, wife and children, brothers and sisters—yes, and even his own life—he cannot be my disciple." Luke 14:26
