"Religion has actually convinced people that there's an invisible man living in the sky who watches everything you do, every minute of every day. And the invisible man has a special list of ten things he does not want you to do. And if you do any of these ten things, he has a special place, full of fire and smoke and burning and torture and anguish, where he will send you to live and suffer and burn and choke and scream and cry forever and ever 'til the end of time!
But He loves you. He loves you, and He needs money! He always needs money! He's all-powerful, all-perfect, all-knowing, and all-wise, somehow just can't handle money!" - - - George Carlin
For my part, as an Atheist, I have asked it before, I ask it again: If God says we have free will and does not intervene with any of our troubles and problems, why did God also write in the bible that we must only pray and: - "ASK, and it shall be given to you; SEEK, and ye shall find; KNOCK, and it shall be opened unto you; for everyone that ASKETH, RECEIVETH, and he that SEEKETH, FINDETH; and to him that KNOCKETH, it shall be OPENED." Matt. 7:7-8
What a lot of an old testament sheepshit, if not a lot of a new testament camelshit!
In the meantime, if prayer works, even as a miracle, how come prayers have to be repeated daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly? Especially in the Philippines - the only Catholic country in Asia since the 16th century. - - - Poch Suzara
