"It's too hot to function!" Pit said sprawling onto the bed. "Hey, watch it!" Dark Pit complained, almost dropping his drink. Both angels were sitting in Pit's room with only their underwear on. There was an unexpected heat wave and they retreated to cool off. Pit rolled over to look at him, "What are you reading?" The dark angel had a small book in one hand. "Just one of those fairytale books. I'm still learning after all," he said defensively. "Can you read to me?" Pit asked. "Why don't you try and learn too? You always make Palutena read for you," Dark Pit smirked. "I-I... never have time! I'm captain after all." He stuttered, embarrassed. Pittoo smiled and patted his head, "I'll read to you if you promise you'll try and learn." Pit sighed, "Fine."
Dark Pit opened the book and placed the drink down. Pit lay down comfortably on his lap. "Once upon a time, there was a b-beaut-iful palace," the dark angel was concentrating, he was shaky but it was clear he had been practicing. Pit listened intensely, looking up at him as he spoke. "Sleeping Beauty was gif-gifted with blessings from ne-igh-bouring fairies," he continued to read, getting frustrated on longer words. Pit reached up and stroked his cheek to encourage him. Dark Pit blushed as he continued, "She would pr-ick her finger on a spi-ning wheel on her s-sixth-tenth b-b..." He paused and examined the word closely, "Birth-day" Pit smiled, "You've improved so much." He didn't acknowledge the comment, he focused on the words and as he continued he stroked the light angel's hair.
"There was tall v-vines on the outside of the palace. The p-prince cou-ldn't get to Sleeping Beauty," he said, his reading becoming more fluid. Pit smiled sleepily up at him. "Are you falling asleep?" Dark Pit said, interrupting himself. "Nope, I'm very awake," he replied in the middle of a yawn. "Is it that boring?" The dark angel asked. "No! It's not boring," Pit sat up to be level with him, "Stories make everyone sleepy. You're voice was relaxing,- not boring!" Dark Pit blinked at him, he clearly didn't get it. "Oh. So my reading was OK?" "It was. You are really showing me up," Pit replied, laughing sheepishly. Pittoo smiled at him, "It would help if you actually practiced." Pit huffed and crossed his arms, "I'm far too busy for stupid things like that." "Was that suppose to be me?" "Maybe~" Dark Pit laughed and tackled the light angel. Pit yelped in surprise as he fell on top of him. Pittoo kissed him longingly, holding the back of his neck gently. The light angel hugged him tightly. "Sounds nothing like me," he whispered. Pit laughed and nuzzled into his neck happily.
Dark Pit held Pit in his arms gently as he slept. He had dozed off and was snoring. The dark angel was silent and stroked the sleeping angel's head rhythmically. He watched the clouds move around outside the window. They we're glowing a beautiful pink colour from the sunset. "Has it really been that long?" He thought to himself. He looked at Pit, who looked so comfortable. "It's not like we we're having a productive day," he thought while planting a kiss on Pit's head and closing his eyes.

Apparently Pit can't read! So I played around with that in this. ~ 🌱
