"Pittoo! Look! Look!" Pit squealed excitedly. "I'm coming, there's no need to pull," Dark Pit mumbled as he was pulled out into the cold weather. A thin layer of snow had fallen on the park while they had been inside. He looked up as the delicate snowflakes drifted slowly towards them. He held out his free hand and caught one on his palm. It melted instantly from the heat of his hand. He smiled to himself, "It's pretty." "Oh yeah, you've never seen snow before!" Pit exclaimed, taking two pairs of mittens out of his carry bag and handing one to Dark Pit. He took them eagerly and put them on. The snow was beautiful, but it was also very cold. The hot chocolate they we're drinking before seemed more and more inviting. Suddenly, Pit grabbed his hand and dragged him out into the park, "Let's go!"
"Go where?" "Enjoy the snow- look!" Pit shouted as he dropped to the ground. "Ah-" Dark Pit tried to stop him falling, but Pit grabbed some snow and threw it into the air. "A *snow* angel," Pit chuckled to himself, dusting off the snow as he stood. Dark Pit rolled his eyes, "A cold for a pun?" He hugged the light angel tightly, warming him up. The snow storm was getting heavier, and his own hair was being caked by it. "It's freezing, let's go back inside," Dark Pit suggested. Pit looked up at the snow and shook his head, "One more minute." The two stood silently, taking in the peaceful atmosphere. Pit was holding onto him tightly. Dark Pit looked at him with a puzzled look, his cheeks we're bright red and his breath was clearly visible, but he seemed completely unfazed. The dark angel cupped his cold face. Pit looked back at him, smiling and leaning into his hands, "Thanks."
"Come on, you'll freeze," Dark Pit persisted. Pit nodded, placing a hand over Dark Pit's. They walked slowly back to the cafe they had come from. They had been getting strange looks all evening, the humans here weren't sure what to make of the identical couple with the odd clothing. They we're wearing long coats to hide their wings, but Dark Pit still felt uncomfortable with the constant staring. "Quick! It's getting cold," Pit exclaimed, grabbing his hot chocolate as they sat back down. The dark angel followed close behind, sitting opposite him. The warm liquid was more than welcome, the steam warmed his face as he drank it. "I still don't get get why you're so excited about snow," he admitted. "It's not something I get to see often, I wanted to share it with-", Pit interrupted himself with a small sneeze. "Ah- I knew that was a bad idea," Dark Pit said with a worried expression. Pit laughed and rubbed his nose with his sleeve, "-With you. So a few sniffles is worth it."
Dark Pit sat on the side of Pit's bed. He fed him some of the hot soup Palutena had 'made' for him. "You don't have to look after me. It was my own fault for playing in the snow," Pit sniffled as he spoke, his nose was blocked and stuffy. The dark angel smiled and kissed his forehead, "Not a chance, you're stuck with me until you're better." Pit blushed and cuddled up against him. Dark Pit stroked his brown mop gently, remembering how caked in snow they we're. "It was very beautiful."
"What was?"
"The snow..."
"Oh right, yeah! I'm glad you liked it," Pit smiled to himself as he said it. "But, was it worth the cold?"
Pit blew his nose as he asked, "You know what? I think it would have even better without the cold..."
