Pit looked up at the humble home as Dark Pit fiddled with his keys. There was a beautiful garden right beside it. Many breeds of flower and shrub were lined up neatly, clearly well maintained. "Come on in," Dark Pit announced, pulling Pit out of his stare. He walked in to a small, but comfy hallway. Everything was natural and calming, making Pit feel at ease. "My room is up here," Dark Pit pointed to the stairs through a yawn. Pit nodded and followed him slowly, admiring the pictures hanging on the walls. Dark Pit swung open his door and almost fell inside, "What a long day..." Pit chuckled and joined him, looking around the room. It was very different from what he had expected. It was very minimalist, with only a few shelves. "It's not like you to be shy," the dark haired boy commented, lying back and stretching. "Oh, uh, I guess I just have a lot on my mind. Your house is really nice," Pit sat beside him and took off his bag, setting it aside.
"Thanks...is it because of uh...what's his face?" Dark Pit asked, looking around him. Pit nodded, letting out a big sigh and slouching more than usual. "I can't believe he found me... I was really hoping that I'd seen the last of him..." "Maybe I should-" "No! You'll do nothing! He's harmless, trust me," Pit pleaded, almost falling on top on him. "OK, OK. I was just going to say that I should ask you stay over," Dark Pit chuckled and caught his hands. "S-stay over?" Dark Pit nodded. "But I don't even have anything with me..." "Well, I'm sure my stuff will fit you- You don't have to, uh..." Pit was surprised to see him look flustered. "Uh, sure! It'll make up for the date," Pit smiled and stood up. He grabbed his phone and sent a quick text;
'Going to stay at Dark Pit's. Try not to burn down the house while I'm gone :)'
He smiled to himself and placed it back in the bag."Try this," Dark Pit said, throwing Pit a pair of pyjamas. They were surprisingly cute, with little paws all over it. "This is...not something I expected to see coming out of your closet," Pit laughed, peeking at the rest of the clothes. "My Aunt gives me loads of stupid crap I never wear-" he closed the door quickly and cleared his throat, "It'll suit you better." "I kinda want to see you-" "Never in a million years." Pit giggled and let it go, it was an image that would have to stay in his head. "I'll go change then, um...where's the bathroom?" "Oh, it's two doors down." Pit nodded and exited the room, closing the door behind him. He took the opportunity to get a better look around. He got closer to the family portraits, noticing that Dark Pit never seemed to smile in any of them. "Oh maybe this is his Aunt?" He thought, picking out an unfamiliar lady. She had blue hair and interesting choice in clothing. "Ahem..." Pit spun around to see Dark Pit's sister, Phosphora looking very confused. "Oh! Uh...Dark Pit asked me to stay over and I was just on my way to the bathroom... ah heh," he smiled awkwardly, gripping the pyjamas tighter. "Oh...Well tell that idiot to keep it down," she scowled, going back into her room and shutting the door loudly. "How embarrassing... I think I'll just go to the bathroom now..."
Pit made his way back into Dark Pit's room. He was watching his TV with a bored expression. He had also changed into a simple pair of black pyjamas. "Sorry I took so long... how do I look?" Pit asked, posing in his new attire. "Ridiculous," Dark Pit laughed, sitting up and stretching. Pit joined him, hoping down beside him. "Oh...I met your sister in the hall, she said to keep it down," Pit said, rubbing the back of his head. "She's home? Oh shit, sorry I should have checked," he sighed and put his arm around Pit. "I-it's no big deal." He felt himself blush a little. He focused his attention to the TV, a documentary on animals was playing. "I didn't know you liked this kinda stuff!" "They can be interesting, sometimes..." Pit smiled and leaned against him, feeling much better already. He always seemed to know exactly what he needed, as if he knew him way too well. "Thanks." "Hmm?" "For this... It made me feel better," Pit closed his eyes and sighed happily. "You're welcome, I guess," Dark Pit chuckled, patting his head. It wasn't long before Pit felt himself drift off into a deep sleep.
Pit jumped up suddenly, forgetting where he was. He looked around and sighed, rubbing his face. "Hey, is it-" he noticed that Dark Pit wasn't there. "Dark Pit?" He climbed off the bed and approached the door, opening it slowly. "Dark Pit?" He whispered loudly, suddenly feeling nervous. "Where is he?" He snuck down the stairs, pausing when he heard voices. He gulped, hoping Dark Pit would appear. He continued down the stairs, following the sound of the voices until he reached the kitchen. "Good morning," Viridi said before Pit could even finish opening the door. "Oh-uh
...Good morning..." he shuffled into the doorway awkwardly. "Pit will be back soon, sit down," she insisted, pulling up a chair for him. He took it politely, admiring the tableware. "Um, where did he go?" Pit asked. "He didn't say, he sure left in a hurry though," Phosphora said, not looking up from her phone. "I wonder what's going on..." he thought, feeling a sudden wave of worry he couldn't shake.
