Dark Pit measured the cream carefully, staring intensity at the bowl. "You're being too cautious. Just fling it in!" Palutena said dumping the rest of the cream in. "Hey! That's too much..." he growled, spooning some out, "I don't think I want your cooking advice..." Palutena pouted and focused on her own mixture. The scent of melted chocolate filled the kitchen. Dark Pit took a deep breath and stood up straight, happy with the mixture he had made. "Which mould would work best..." he mumbled to himself, picking up the options. "I like this one," Palutena looked over his shoulder and pointed to the left one. It was a tray of simple mini hearts. "OK... I hope it'll look alright," he picked up the bowl and carefully filled the mould with the chocolate mixture. "Lovely, now let's decorate the boxes while it sets!"
Pittoo cut the ribbon and tied it into a small bow. "You're really good at this...what other talents are you hiding?" Palutena teased. Dark Pit gave a disinterested grunt and glued the bow to the small box. "How much time do we have?" "Oh don't worry, I'm keeping Pit busy." He suddenly felt bad for him. He stood up and fetched the cooled chocolate and smiled to himself. "How do I take them out?" He asked, placing it gently on the table. Palutena reached out and tapped it off the surface quickly. "What are you-" She smiled and lifted the mould, revealing a line of perfectly shaped chocolate hearts. "Geez...you could have broken them," he sighed, scooping the chocolates up before anything else could happen to them.
Dark Pit lined the chocolates neatly in the box. "Yep...that's good stuff," Palutena said through a mouthful. "I hope he likes it..." "You should wear that when you give it to him!" She pointed to his cooking apron. "What? No, I'm covered in chocolate," he protested, crossing his arms. "Trust me, it'll be cute. Not like you have a choice, he has just arrived," Palutena smiled and pushed him out of the kitchen, placing the box in his hands. "No- Let me at least-" the door closed swiftly behind him, "Wipe my face..." He sighed and wiped the sweat of his forehead, gripping the box tightly.
"I'm here!" Pit shouted, bursting into the main hall. He was completely out of breath. "What's wrong? I came back as fast...as I could," he breathed, hunching over. "Oh...uh, there's nothing wrong," he held out the box and blushed, "I uh...made you this." Pit looked up at the dark angel with a surprised expression. He smiled and took it, peeking inside. "They're probably not good...but I want to give you something 'cause it's you know...Valentine's-" Pit interrupted his ramblings with a hug. "They're amazing! I didn't think you would do all of this for me," Pit closed his eyes happily. "I-I'm glad..." Dark Pit breathed a sigh of relief, holding the light angel close.
"Hmm?" Pit reached out and placed a forefinger on Dark Pit's cheek. He placed it in his mouth and laughed, "It's tasty~" "Stop that- d-don't be weird. I didn't have time to clean up," he mumbled, backing away as his face grew redder. Pit smiled sweetly and opened the box in his hand again, taking out one of chocolates carefully and holding it up to the dark angel's mouth. "I think the chef should taste his own work. Besides, I want you to be *my* Valentine." Dark Pit was surprised at how forward he was being. He took the chocolate willingly and smiled, "How can I say no to that?" The two angel's laughter echoed around the hall, only interrupted by the sound out the doors opening behind them. "The entire kitchen is a mess! You better be ready to clean up~" Palutena said in a strange sweet, yet threatening way. "I'll help out. It's the least I can do," Pit laughed, linking Dark Pit's arm. "You just want to lick the bowls..." They chuckled to themselves as they walked back into the kitchen together.
Super short Valentine's special to get the ball rolling. I'm going to work hard and get some more done so I can keep the schedule. Thanks for the support as always~ 🌱
