chapter 19: will you marry me?

tyler gasped, his hand covering his open mouth. josh just grinned and laughed softly, taking both of tyler's hands.

"tyler robert joseph, we've talked about doing this for years now. and i'll be honest, i thought i was the only one with long-term plans for this relationship, but luckily, i wasn't alone. at all. you're just as excited about it as i am. and i had this whole speech planned out for this but now i can't remember any of it so i'm just gonna get to the point. i love you, tyler. more than you'll ever know. and i just want to be able to call you my husband, baby. and i want to start a family with you and have little toddlers running around and watch cartoons with them and take them out to eat and hold them but it's only going to be perfect if it's with you... a-and i'm starting to stutter and feel lightheaded so i'm just gonna say what i'm trying to get across. i love you, tyler jospeh. and i'd love seeing you write 'joseph-dun' when we sign the papers to our first house. so, tyler robert joseph, will you please make me the happiest boy alive. and will you marry me?" he asked with a hopeful grin, opening up the box and revealing a solid, gorgeous black ring.

tyler sniffled and quickly nodded, allowing joshua to slide the ring on his finger before he tackled him in a hug.

they eventually pulled back, staring into each other's eyes before pressing their lips together.

"i love you, joshua."

"i can't wait to marry you, tyler."

and so they then went to the home where josh would be staying.

"baby, can you stay with me tonight? i've missed getting snuggle with you," josh said, holding his fiancé's hand.

tyler smiled and nodded, getting into only his boxers before crawling into bed with joshua. "maybe we should wait to have sex until our wedding night," tyler suggested. "that way it'll be extra special."

josh nodded in agreement, kissing his fiances forehead.

"but maybe we can do it juuuuuuuust one more time," tyler grinned, getting on top of joshua and straddling him.
