chapter 36: welcome home, oliver!

"here we are, ollie! it's your new home!" tyler exclaimed, carrying the baby inside the home.

oliver squealed and clapped, kissing tyler's cheek.

"ollie!! i want a kissy too!" josh giggled.

oliver started to tear up, feeling bad for not giving his jishjish a kissy.

"aww, it's ok, bubba," josh giggled, taking the tubby baby out of his husband's arms and kissing his cheek.

the boys showed ollie to his room, setting the baby down and letting him crawl all over as he giggled hysterically.

tyler then brought in a bag of goldfish, and as soon as he pulled one out to eat, ollie screamed and fell into his lap, smacking the cracker out of his dad's hand.

"ollieeee! i was gonna eat that!" tyler giggled.

the baby took the goldfish in his adorably pudgy hand, inspecting it with great care, his tongue sticking out in focus. he then relaxed and grinned, handing it back to his father.

"what was that about, cutie?" tyler giggled. he then took another one and handed it to the baby for him to eat, ollie just inspecting it again and handing it back with a wide smile.

"that's for you to eat, bubba," tyler giggled, pushing the cracker back towards their son. tyler and josh didn't understand what the baby was doing, but it was honestly too adorable to stop.

"bah!" ollie exclaimed as josh ate a goldfish without handing it to the baby first. "bah bah bah!"

"ohhhh. he's looking at them to make sure they're safe to eat," tyler giggled.

"aww, that's so sweet, cutie," josh giggled, kissing the top of the baby's head.

"it's pretty late," tyler said. "we should prolly go to bed."

"you wanna sleep with us or in your crib, ollie?" josh asked the baby.

"baba!" oliver exclaimed, bouncing in tyler's lap.

tyler giggled. "i think he wants to sleep with us."

and so the three went to tyler and josh's room, tyler laying down in josh's arms, their tubby little prince in his arms. ollie laid on tyler's chest and giggled down at him, pressing their noses together.

tyler giggled and kissed the baby's chin. "hi, oliver grayyyyy."

"HA BABA!" the baby exclaimed, meaning to say 'hi.' they decided to teach oliver to just call them both 'dada,' but the baby couldn't really say 'dada,' so instead they were called 'baba.'

"you should get some sleep, cutie," tyler giggled, hugging their son tightly.

"HA BABA!" oliver exclaimed again, now frantically waving to josh.

"hi, bubba!" josh giggled, holding his arms out for the baby to jump into. ollie gladly did so, hugging his jishjish tightly.

"HA BABA!" oliver yelled at tyler. the two parents laughed but went along with it.

"hi, ollie!" tyler giggled, the baby jumping into his arms.

"HA BABA!"

"hi, cutie!"

"HA BABA!"

"hi, honey!"

"HA BABA!"

"hi, bubba!"

"OLLIE SEEP SEEP!" the baby exclaimed, meaning to say he was going to sleep.

"ok, ollie. you seep seep," tyler giggled.

"ollie seep seep," the baby repeated.

josh giggled and nodded. "ok, ollie seep seep."

"ollie seep seep," oliver said.

both daddies giggled, speaking in unison. "ollie go seep seep."

the baby laid down on top of tyler's chest, falling asleep with his pacifier in his mouth.

tyler held onto the baby, smiling over at his husband. "this is the start of forever, isn't it?"

josh smiled and nodded, kissing his husband's temple. "start of forever, baby."
