"you wanna do something special for dessert?" josh asked.
"joshua, last time you said that we were both naked on the kitchen table with three empty bottles of whipped cream beside us. that took hours to clean up," tyler said.
josh laughed and shook his head. "no, honey. i mean like go out for dessert."
tyler smiled and nodded. "oh, sure. sounds great. what were you thinking?"
"how about we go to that old diner with the milkshakes?" josh suggested.
"sounds perfect to me," tyler smiled taking his fiancé's hand and following him to the car.
josh drove them to the diner, ordering them a large oreo milkshake with two straws since he knew it was tyler's favorite.
they sat across from each other in a booth, joshua holdings tyler's hands and pressing kisses against his knuckles causing tyler to blush.
"stop making me blush, joshua."
"it's not my fault you blush when i stare at you."
tyler laughed and blushed, ducking his head shyly, the same way he did when they were only 16 and 17.
"you're so cute," josh grinned. "don't even try to argue."
tyler blushed and smiled shyly, holding his fiancé's hand tightly. the waitress them brought their milkshake, josh setting it between them and handing tyler one straw.
it was a stereotypical date, but it was romantic and they loved it.
once they finished their drink, they simply walked around for about an hour, just holding hands and enjoying the beauty of the city lights.
"it's all just so pretty," tyler said with a wide smile.
"not as pretty as you, though. not even close."
"shut up," tyler laughed, leaning against fiancé as they walked. josh laughed as well, holding tyler tightly against him, hating it when people would even just bump shoulders with his fiancé.
suddenly, a drunk girl stumbled up to them. "holy shit, you're hot," she grinned at josh.
tyler rolled his eyes. "back off, honey. he's mine."
the girl just pushed tyler aside, getting closer to josh.
"i think it would be fair to inform you i'm not afraid to slap a bitch regardless off the gender," he said sassily.
"like you could take out a fly," she replied, rolling her eyes.
"oh, bitch, you're just asking for it now," tyler said, taking his jacket off and throwing it at his fiancé.
josh's eyes widened, quickly pulling his husband back. "she's drunk, baby. it's alright," he said, just wanting to get his fiancé off the idea of fighting the girl.
then he knew what would get his fiancé to calm down.
he gently grabbed tyler's face and pressed a long, passionate kiss against his lips, tyler purposely heating it up in front of the girl.
they both pulled back panting after a solid minute. "you have a nice night," tyler grinned, taking his fiancé's hand and leading him away.
josh couldn't help but laugh once they got far enough away. "i've never, ever seen that side of you before, ty."
tyler shrugged. "nobody touches my fiancé."
