"sorry that took so long," joshua said. "ollie wouldn't stop dancing."
tyler giggled, kissing his husband's nose. "it's ok. is he asleep now?"
josh shrugged. "beats me. i told him i'd put him in overalls if he didn't stop dancing and he just kinda collapsed and acted like he was asleep."
tyler laughed and nodded, being almost too familiar with that occurrence.
"how'd winnie do?" josh asked.
"perfectly fine as usual," he laughed.
it was... interesting seeing how different their two children were.
ollie loved dancing, taking his clothes off, and screaming whenever he was happy. he was a pretty messy eater and was an exact copy of joshua when he was three years old. he never really wandered off, being pretty much attached to his parents at the hip. he was absolutely adorable, pudgy, sweet, and goofy.
winnie, on the other hand, loved playing 'princess' where she just put on one of josh's shirts and acted like it was a dress despite her parents having bought her several real dresses. she had a habit of wandering, just wanting to go hug strangers and tell them they were pretty. she was very clean and organized, even at such a young age, always lining her shoes up perfectly against the wall. for the most part, she was quiet, but then again, whenever she was with ollie and he started screaming excitedly, she started screaming excitedly. she was an exact copy of tyler when he was her age, too. the sweetest baby ever. she was a pretty fast learner, too, while her brother was a little slow.
but it was ok.
both babies were incredibly sweet, loving, snuggly, and all around wonderful.
and, they were friends.
best friends.
anyways.
back to tyler and josh.
"do you think we're good parents, joshua?" tyler asked, snuggling up against his husband.
joshua shrugged. "i mean, i think so. we don't have to do much given they're pretty perfect."
tyler sighed and nodded in agreement.
"why?" josh asked.
tyler shrugged. "i don't know. i've just always wanted to be a good dad."
josh kissed his husband's shoulder gently. "trust me, baby. you're a wonderful dad. those two adore you."
tyler blushed and smiled shyly, kissing his husband's nose. "they absolutely love their jishjish," tyler said. "they both started crying last week when i said you were working late and wouldn't be home in time for family snuggles."
josh smiled and laughed, sighing and hugging his husband. "they're too sweet."
tyler hummed and nodded in agreement.
"but, for right now, let's focus on us," josh grinned.
tyler groaned. "sex again? honey, can we take a break tonight? six nights in a row with at least 3 different times per night is a lot..."
josh giggled and shook his head. "no, baby. i meant let's talk about us."
"oh, ok," tyler giggled. "good cause my ass genuinely hurts now."
josh rolled his eyes and laughed, kissing his husband's forehead. "let's go down to the forest behind the cabin," he suggested.
tyler smiled and nodded, taking his husband's hand and following him downstairs.
but, their plans were interrupted by a naked ollie standing at the bottom of the steps.
"ollie got lonely," the baby said sadly.
"aww, bubba," tyler said, picking his son up. "what about sissy? she's in there with you."
"sissy seep seep," he said, meaning to say winnie was sleeping.
tyler sighed and nodded, walking back up the stairs and allowing oliver to snuggle with them. though, soon, they decided josh better go get winnie before she woke up in the middle of the night alone and started crying.
so joshua got her and returned a few minutes later, all four snuggled up together on the bed.
"night night," ollie said, kissing all three of his family members' noses sweetly.
"night night, honey," josh said, kissing oliver's head before the baby fell asleep on top of tyler.
winnie was still asleep in josh's arms from when he picked her up.
"maybe we'll try the forest tomorrow," joshua sighed.
tyler nodded in agreement. "the forest it is."
