Just a small note :- the previous part of the flashback was occurring in London.
- Also don't forget, Isaac is Nik's father.
**FLASHBACK CONTINUING**
Third person's POV
New York..
Frank folded his hands over the table, all his senses taking notice of the words coming out of the man sitting across him, Liam, his second in command.
"Why would Isaac kidnap the little girl?" Frank asked, curiosity taking the best of him. All of Isaac's moves were being monitored by his side. Every step he takes, every word he speaks, it always comes back to him, presented on a silver plate.
"The little girl is Maxwell's daughter; he kidnapped her to threaten him. He is playing on his weak strings." Liam explained, leaning forward he continued, "He wants Maxwell to withdraw from his position."
Frank nodded, already making sense of Isaac's moves, "So he can finally have all the power to himself." He said. So he can finally destroy me, but he kept that part to himself.
A smirk came to Frank's lips, he unfolded his hands as he traced the edge of his chin, "And we wouldn't want that to happen, would we?"
Liam nodded, already understanding his boss's plan.
"We need Maxwell on our side." Frank said, "You need to get me the little girl."
"Isaac already sent her with his men to his house here, in New York; he wanted to get her as far as possible from Maxwell."
Frank smiled, "Great, then your task is easy. Once they land, get me the girl, safe and sound." He said, stressing on the last two words.
If he wants Maxwell on his side, he has to play the hero's role for once.
He would save the little girl from the devil's hands, and then hand her back to her father. No one can beat that.
If Isaac wants to play dirty, so can i. Frank thought to himself.
Liam stood up, the phone in his hand, typing orders, making sure nothing goes the wrong way, "Okay then, I will take her to your house in the city, it's better than here, am I right ?"
Frank nodded, indeed better, here is the family house, and he can't bring his business into this place. No one should know where he stays. He can't put his son in danger, not now at least.
"When you get there, call me, I will follow you."
With a nod of his head, Liam bid his goodbye and went to get his work done.
Frank went out of his office and walked down to the first floor. His eyes first connected with his nine years-old-boy, who had a ball wrapped in his arms. A smile came to Frank's lips at the grin that designed his little boy's face when their eyes met.
"Come here." He said as he ushered him to come closer.
"Dad, can you play with me?" the boy asked as he extended the ball to his father.
"Of course, but later on, I have to go, I got some work to do, do you want to come with me or you want to stay here ?"
"Go with you." His boy answered immediately.
"Okay then-", Frank took the ball from him and winked, "Shall we play now?"
A few hours later, a phone call interrupted Frank's time with his son. He walked a bit away and clicked the answer button.
