You'd think
The grey sky
Would dampen the smile on your face
Like it did mine
But you stood there,
Tinted in grey overcast
The ends of your mouth pointing to the sky
The drops landing all over your rosy checks
Colliding to create little rivers
That looked like a stream of tears
Yet your blinding teeth
Shining through the drab atmosphere
Proved that theory wrong
You breathed in the moist air
Letting a sigh escape your lips
And somehow
Staring at your glossy eyes
And red lips turned upward
Caused a grin to break across my face as well
And the grey seems less lonely
And more like a place where I belong
Mainly because I stood beside you
