I've since learned
Hating yourself is not a skill
But more an aquired trait
Treated to be ill

It takes time to master
To engrave it in your eyes and skin
Centuries of honest whispers
To make sure pitiful lies never win

A million mirrors would help
Clothing a size too small
Anything to force
Your stretched out skin to crawl

No more prayers
To cease the violent friction
All in a fatal attempt
To halt the conviction

It should tear you to shreds
Abandoning leftover scraps of loss
A surplus of stained skin
And unshed sobs

The lesson to be taught
Is when practicing to hate who you are
Start with the appearance
Then obliterate the heart

A/N: This poem is not amazing, but with the theme, I feel the need to say this: Don't hate yourself. Please. This poem is just an overreaction, a biased opinion. Please... please don't hate yourself. You don't deserve that.

And thank you for reading. :)
