Giant grey clouds of suffocating smoke
And orange flames ablaze
Surrounding you and me
As the roof cascades
The cracking walls look ready to crumble
The fire doesn't want to die
We are to do that first, I suppose
We are to burn and fry
Perhaps we should exchange goodbyes
Maybe even a farewell kiss
For when the flames consume us
They'll last devour our lips
So we will become dust
Never seen again
But we will die together,
As more than simple friends
Like Romeo and Juliet
That was quite the tale
But do we really want this
For our lungs to fail
Shall we die like this
By burning flames
Our fingers entwined
For spirits to claim
"Convince me
Please," I beg
I need to stop
My stupid head
"Yes we'll die with each other
Our corpses together, decay
And let this sunset
Be the last we see of day"
I'm not so sure
But for you I'll agree
So take my palm, dear lover
And we'll finally be at peace
So as the fire begins to roar
And rear it's ugly head
I will stand next to you
Until we are both found dead
