"Why are we going again?" Miles grumbled.
"We're visiting Apollo, Miles!" I said from the backseat. "Are you forgetting that he was a victim last night, too?"
The prosecutor sighs, continuing his driving.
Well, although Miles isn't too happy about going to visit Apollo, at least he volunteered to take us there.
"Speaking of which, I couldn't get into contact with Apollo earlier." Nick jumps in. "I guess, Ema answering his phone is the reason why."
"Yeah, she said something about him not being sober..." I replied.
I glanced at Miles through his rear mirror, who had a look of anguish on his face.
Touching his face from behind, the male stiffens, and becomes nervous. "R-Rachael...please, I'm driving..."
Nick's head snapped to us in a millisecond. "Don't do anything weird in the car!"
"Oh, Nick! Leave them be!" Maya pouted. She leans to the passenger seat and whispers into Nick's right ear. "Let them get lovey-dovey, and they'll soon confess to each other!" She squeals excitedly.
Glancing at her, she stuck her thumb up at me, and winked.
The poor girl doesn't even know we're already together...
"Maya, sit back in your seat..." Phoenix sighs.
Maya sat back. "I can't want to see Ema! I hope she has dessert over there!"
"We're going to a hospital, not a restaurant."
"Yeah, yeah, whatever."
Arriving at the hospital, we went to the third floor.
"We have the flowers, right?" I asked, cheerily.
Nick rolled his eyes, lifting his arm. "Got it."
Clapping my hands together, I smiled. "Good! Let's go in!"
Entering the room, we peered in, to see Ema sitting inside, reading the newspaper.
"Ema!" Maya cried.
The brunette stands up, gasping. "Guys!" Running over to us, she gave each of us a hug. "I'm glad you all came!"
"Same here!" I smiled. "But, uh..." I glanced around the room. "Where's Apollo?"
"Ugh..." A soft groan came from behind us. We all turned back and took a step away from the bathroom door, that opened, gradually.
"Apollo?" I gasped.
The adorable attorney held his stomach, with one hand on the doorknob. "Hnng..."
"Apollo!" Ema gasped, running over to him.
Quickly, she supported Apollo under his shoulder, carrying him back to his bed. He laid down, as Ema pulled the sheet up to his chest.
"He's still a bit looney...sorry guys."
"It's fine." Nick smiled. "As long as he gets some rest, I'm sure he'll be fine."
Miles grimaced at the pitiful man. I nudged him, earning a slight wheeze from him.
"What exactly happened to him last night, that he's still affected, anyways?" Nick asked.
"I guess something that he drank had a heavy drug in it..." Ema mumbled. "The doctors said that it could have been some sort of pill that was designed to put a person to sleep for a very long time...but it seems as though they were trying to make him overdose."
