"The surveillance cameras aren't showing anything..." Apollo mumbled.

"Try pushing the date back to October 20th." Gumshoe suggested.

Apollo heeded the order, setting the time to October. "Ah, there's the event."

"Do you see anything?" I asked.

"Nothing yet..." Apollo zoomed in to get a better view of each clip. "Nothing out of the ordinary..."

Apollo and Detective Gumshoe tried to search the cameras for any signs of Ciel and I, but here wasn't any.

"Damn..." Apollo hissed. "Some of the cameras have blind spots, so we can't even see if something was happening out of its view."

"Would it be bad to say to just drop the case...?"

"Are you out of your damn mind?!" Apollo snaps at me. "You're my friend! Why would I do that to you? You think that I'm just gonna give up, because this rich bastard probably already deleted the tapes with the evidence?! Hell, do you even know what Mr. Wright would do to me, if he found out that I dropped your case?! You're crazy!" Apollo turned back around, clicking at the mouse like crazy.

I blushed profusely. What he said...it's so similar to what Nick said, and how he responded, the last time I told him the same thing...

I lowered my head, saddened. But, why do I do that, for real...? I just keep belittling myself...

"Pal, you want to repeat that?"

"Repeat what???" Apollo questions dumbfounded.

"What you just said."

"About what?"

"Deleting evidence."

Apollo's eyes lit up. "That's it! Ciel must have had the evidence deleted!"

"Or, maybe," Ema interrupted. "He had the camera's angle turned, so that no one could see what was going on."

Apollo held his chin, in agreement. "You know, that actually makes a lot of sense." Apollo turns to me. "Rachael, did you notice any cameras around during the time of the attack, or when Ciel was speaking to you?"

"Well...no, not at all." I said honestly. "I'm sorry..."

Pausing for a moment, Apollo then responded. "Don't worry. It's not your fault that you couldn't see the camera's."

"It's not???" I asked befuddled.

"Not at all." Apollo assures me. "Because, look right here." Apollo pointed to a spot on one of the monitors.

All of us bundled up to see what he was pointing at.

"What are you pointing at, Apollo?" Ema asked.

"You can't see it right?"

"See what?" She glowered.

"That's the point." Apollo quickly stood up, inviting us to follow him outside of the security room. "One of the cameras are in this hallway." Looking left and right, he pointed. "See?"

All of our eyes darted to the spot Apollo pointed at.

"What's there?" Ema asked.

"The camera." Apollo concluded

All of us gasped.

"W-What?!"

"Exactly." Apollo nods, folding his arms. "Ciel had all of the camera bodies painted, to blend in with the ceiling and scenery. That way, no one would even notice that they're being watched."
