Apollo glared at Kay indignantly. "What the hell are you doing here?" He snapped.

Kay folded her arms. "I could ask you the same thing."

...Oh great. Apollo and Kay are in the same room together...this seriously won't be good.

Apollo gritted his teeth, as he was preparing to say something else.

But I quickly intervened. "Hey, Apollo!" I say nervously. "Would you like something to eat?"

Apollo gave Kay a hateful and embittered look. "...Yeah." He says as he turns away from her. "That'd be fine."

"Alright, I'll make you some food, now."

Apollo sat on the couch, folding his arms. "Bastard...how dare she come here?"

Hearing Apollo's murmuring, Miles arched his eyebrow.

Finishing the preparations speedily, I handed Apollo a bowl of Ramen.

"Thanks."

Timidly, I smiled. "Enjoy."

Apollo didn't say much afterward. He seemed to be occupied in his thoughts.

What exactly happened between those two...? I wondered.

The paramedics soon finished up Miles' check-up, bowing. "Alright, we're finished. We didn't find anything wrong with your system, and the results are all positive. Looks like you're fortunate, Mr. Edgeworth." He smiles.

"Yeah, I guess so. Thank you."

"It was nice to meet you!" The other paramedic exclaimed. "It was nice seeing all of you attorneys here, including Mr. Justice!"

"...right." Apollo mumbled.

I sighed. I wish there was something I could do to help Apollo...but I can't really do anything, at the moment.

Awkwardly, the paramedics glanced at each other and shrugged. "Hope you feel better!" One of them said, and they left.

Once the door was closed, the room was filled with tension.

I glanced at Miles and Nick, as their eyes averted to mine. I couldn't help but then, cautiously glance at Kay and Apollo, who sat far apart from one another.

"So..." Nick exhales. "...How was everyone's day?"

"Miserable."

"Depressing, now that she's here."

"So-So."

Everyone said at once.

I bit my lip. The awkwardness was intensifying.

"Well, then..." Nick rubbed his hands together. "...how about we all go out for dinner?"

"Huh?!" I squeaked. "Nick, can we talk—in private?"

"Huh?" Nick blinked innocently. "Sure, but uh...what happened?"

Pulling Nick by his sleeve, I led him into the hallway.

Turning to him, I hit him on his chest, then placed my hands on my hips.

"Ow! What did I do?!"

"Seriously, Nick?! You have an apartment full of tense guests, and all you can think of, is bringing us all to a dinner?!"

"I mean, doesn't food solve problems?" Nick shrugs. "Especially good food...?"

Pondering over his statement, I felt some drool coming over me.
