"Did Mr. Wright ever get back to you?"
"Yeah, he did."
"And, what did he say?"
"He said that, um..." I paused for a second, staring at the clothes hanged on the rack. "He's going to go up to the waterfalls, to visit Maya."
"Well, that's sudden."
"I was thinking that perhaps, he's going to go and check what is going on up there. Besides, he did tell me that he hasn't visited Maya for a very long time."
"I see." Miles sighs, skimming through the men's button-down shirts, that were hung in clear ziplocked cases. "Did he say what he would do, while he's up there?"
"Not really..." I mumbled, pulling out a god-awful shirt that had such an ugly design on it. "He just told me that he wants to see what exactly Maya is talking about, so that he can find out if he can do anything to stop the marriage from happening."
Snapping his head to me, Miles was baffled. "He plans to crash her wedding?"
"It seems that way." I breathed.
"Mr. Wright, what are you thinking..." Miles grumbled. "Have you not done enough crazy things, in his life?"
"But, this is for Maya, Miles!"
"Yes, and he better not do anything reckless. Does he have any clue, on who that man, that Maya will be marrying, is?"
"Most likely not, because we don't." I responded.
"Exactly. So, please, let him know to be cautious, but not skeptical."
"Why don't you tell him that?" I smirked.
Miles blushed, glancing away. "Well, being as he was already tight-fisted on letting me know what his issues were...I think it'd be best if you tell him."
"But hasn't he helped you, too?" I smiled, glancing at him.
Miles looked at me, with his cute embarrassed face. "He has..."
"And you gave him a hard too, haven't cha."
Miles cleared his throat. "...those were dark times."
"You can say the same for Nick, though." I argued. "He's going through a dark time in his life, too. And he's being just as stubborn as you were. This is a good opportunity for you two, to bond, like good brothers."
"Brothers..." Miles mumbled. "I've...never had a brother."
"Well, I think that Nick could be your first!" I cheesed.
Miles face seemed to spark an 'aha!' moment.
"To be honest..." He says, lowering a piece of clothing he admired. "I was never the type of person to force myself onto other's affairs..."
"Well," Standing next to Miles, I exhaled. "This should be a first, for you."
Miles couldn't help but shy away.
After our window shopping, Miles took me to his office. The bellboy wasn't there, at the time being, so this allowed for us to have our personal space.
Miles settled down in his chair, as I relaxed on the couch.
"So, about last night..." Miles began.
"Hm?"
"You were very tired."
"Ah, I was." I agreed, stretching. "I don't really remember what happened after our conversation, last night. Everything after is just fuzzy."
