"Are we really doing this?"

"Miles, they aren't eating with us. They're over there, but we'll be watching from a distance."

"You have got to be kidding me..." Miles sighs exasperatedly.

"Look, I just want to be sure that everything goes well with them."

"He can just tell us how the night went, when we get home."

"And, that's exactly what he's going to go." I hissed.

Miles glowered, picking up his menu.

"Hey, at least you don't have to look at them."

"That is why I chose this seat."

"And that is why I made sure to change my hairstyle." I smirked, pointing at my hair.

Instead of having my hair down, I placed it into a clean-cut bun. "Oh, and have I told you that, you look very handsome with your hair like that?"

Peeking up from his menu, the prosecutor arches an eyebrow.

I rested my chin in my intertwined hands and ogled at him.

Miles' hair was gelled, but swept to the side. I never thought that he could pull off such a look, especially with his glasses on.

"Trying to woo me with your words?" Miles smirks, eyeing the menu once more.

"Is it bad, that I want to compliment you for how dashing and stunning you are?"

"Hm." Miles chuckled. "I can't deny a compliment from you. That'd be an absurd thing for me to do." Miles gently placed his hand on mine. "But, you look more stunning than ever."

"Oh, you don't have to compliment me." I blushed, glancing away. I smiled shyly, holding my cheek.

"Oh? Why is that?"

"You'll just make me feel flustered."

"Don't be." Miles insisted. "You being nervous, makes me nervous, too."

"Does it, really?"

"Indeed." The prosecutor assures me.

"Okay," I exhaled, calming down. "I'll try to." Looking up at Phoenix, I saw Maya taking a seat in front of him. "Oh! She made it!"

"Did she?" Miles turned his head to peek.

"No, don't look!" I gently slapped his hand.

"W-Why?"

"I'm telling you, people are good at spotting too many eyes staring at them..."

"Aren't you cautious." Miles smirked.

Rolling my eyes, I chuckled.

As time went by, I made sure to keep an eye on how Maya and Nick was doing.

"It's already been about an hour, and they seem to be doing well."

"Good to hear."

Taking a bite out of my dish, I savored the meal, and swallowed.

If Nick is able to pull this off correctly, then hopefully they'll be on good terms again! And maybe they'll even start dating! I became overly excited in my thoughts.

"Still watching them?"

"I can't help it!" I cried. "I feel like a mother, trying to watch my son talk to a girl, the right way, from a distance!"
