.Mate Problems.

Ash's pov:

I ignored the stares I got from the town people, I didn't and still don't normally walk around town after what happened and I dropped most of my routines, now it's mostly wake up, go to school, come home, eat, go to room, cry, sleep and put that on repeat for a few weeks and you get my new routine.... and the fact that I kind of got kidnapped and rumours of what happened of course spread around town.

I had my hands in my pocket as Jake wouldn't stop talking, telling me about anything and everything he could while I stayed my now normal quiet self but it didn't annoy him, it sure did amuse Anna to watch Jake ran around me in circles and pull on bits and pieces of my clothing.

"..... and then I ran with him and hide while Jade came to find us and she did and she ran to and...." and on and on, does this boy never ran out of things to say?

"Jake please slow down" Anna said with a chuckle, he pouted a little but still did as asked.

you may think people would find strange to find a senior high school student walking around with a teacher and her son but people knew they were kind of the only one that got more out of me then a shrug or nod. the fact is that everyone in s town kind knew of the pack as anyone and everyone could join if they wished so the town was kind almost 'owned' by the pack.... and anyway it wasn't a mystery Anna and I lived in the same place.

"are you alright?" Anna asked, I must have been making faces.

I pointed at people with my gaze (trust me, I do that stuff and it actually works because people understand me XD) and then looked back at her.

"don't care about them, they can stare if they want and they will not hurt you" she said, I know these people wouldn't hurt me as I grew up here but it still eased my mind to hear her say that.

the park was almost empty expect for a few kids with their parents or grandparents.

I didn't notice Anna had moved away from next to me as I spaced out while watching Jake play around with the kids until a small body ran in my legs and made a humf noise when hitting the ground.

I looked down to see a little girl sitting on the ground, somehow she crapped her knees, her hands where understandable but she fell backwards so her knees must be hurt earlier.

I got down on one knee as I saw tears gather in her eyes, I gently stood her up and dusted her clothes off before picking her up and set her on my waist, holding her with one arm as I looked around for any worried parent of the little girl, nothing.

"is she okay?" I shrugged, seems like Anna was back.

"stay with Jake.... I'll get her parents" I whispered, my voice cracking slightly from not using it much.

Anna nodded and I swear I could see her smile as I turned away.

I sighed, knowing very well it was time to start talking again as she was way too young to understand what I would mean by body movements and expressions.

"I..... I'm Ash, what's your name?" I whisper, I will talk yes but only whispering as I don't feel the real need to go louder.

"Lisa" she sniffled.

"well where are your parents Lisa" I raised an eyebrow and she pointed in a direction.

I quietly walked through the park, it was quite big so I'm not surprised she got lost in here. it was peaceful and quiet, only disturbed by natures natural sound and Lisa's small sniffles from time to time.

I hoist her up on my shoulder making her giggle and grab my head for extra hold to not fall off even if I was still holding her.

"there!" she said happily "Mommy! Daddy! Danny!" a pair of really worried looking adults and teenager turned around with a look of relief and then confusion when they saw who brought the girl back.

I put her down and gently pushed her in the back, no need to ask twice, she took off running to her parents.

I stared for a little while, a little jealous as her parents and brother hugged her, I wish my dad was still here of I had a sibling but I guess that's not how it works.

I quietly slip away and walk back to Jake and Anna, he didn't even notice my disappearance but Anna did notice my appearance.

"I assume you found her parents?" I nod and sit down next to her on the bench.

"I'm proud" she said and took my hand.

we watched Jake for a while before I found myself wanting to lay down so I scooted away from Anna and laid my head on the bench with my legs half laying down.

"Ash.... come here love" I look up her and raise an eyebrow, not really getting what she wants, but do it, she pulls me to her in a quick hug.

"if you want to sleep you can borrow my lap" straight forwards much?

"yep.... and yes you whispered that out loud again" she said and suddenly my wrist stung, I frowned slightly, I was now playing with this elastic band without noticing it as it didn't hurt as much as a razor blade, I shrugged it off for now, I do want to close my eyes for a little while but don't want to go home as Jake looks to be having such a good time with the other children.

I quietly sigh and decide to take Anna up on her offer and lay my head on her lap with my own arms under me as I'm laying half on my stomach and half on my side with my arms close.... of course.

after a little while I feel finger combing through my hair but I do nothing to stop them, it's calming and relaxing...... plus it's my mate doing it.... thinking about that.... I think I will never regret giving her a choice.

I slowly slipped away in a deeper sleep then I intended.

Anna's pov:

she looked cute, all snuggled up in her hoodie and snoring lightly.

I thought I overstepped the boundaries of what she would let me do but I was glade when she didn't hit my hand away nor made any movement to stop me as I passed my hand in her silky and smooth hair.

I always loved the really light brown and the blue highlight mix it was, just like the piercing ice blue of her eyes but now it was dull which didn't take its beauty away but it was saddening...... I miss her smiles, even her sometime cocky grins, the strong, outgoing and fun loving Ash, now she was like a husk of herself.... but I don't care I still love her, I will help with what I can to bring her back to her former glory, not for myself but for her own good.

I love you Ash and will never give up on you.... never....
